When you mentioned you don't talk about a potential candidate's work history that much but getting their reaction about the company vision and their place in it....good call.
@@MatterhornBusinessDevelopment In terms of potential hiring, I focus on asking the boss(if they are interviewing me) "what inspired you to start this business?" This is a great interview insightful questioning for potential candidates instead of asking the same mundane questions that goes on in interviewing. If potential candidates asked this more, you will find a "diamond in the rough" because your take on inspiration is going to draw some interesting feedback by way of loyal workers. It is a "make or break" to eliminate those that are just there for a paycheck or a genuine hire. If I owned a business that would be one of the 1st things I look for in a future candidate.
Loving the content! Always putting out gems! Came from the live webinar with Chris Bossio! As a young barber and entrepreneur, I find this very useful! Keep growing the channel!
I have two parents that were in top management positions and a grandmother who managed one of the largest banks in Atlanta in the late 60's. This is very intriguing.
Agreed but.... Profit must not work like a 'Blinder' to create a confused view of business especially in a complex and competitive scenario. We must be clear about Absolute Profit and Profitability (Rate of Profit). A CEO has multiple requirements which much be organized in proportion to eventual impact of each factor. This is a Complex Game indeed !

I really like the point about making quick and informed decisions. Knowing that the decision you make may not be right at first, and that’s ok.

Yes, it helps so much to know the person is excited to help forward that vision!
