    Always loved Taichi and this Mainboard is absolutly huge(also in terms of price). Would love to see the Z790 PG ITX/TB4 as well, maybe inside the Fractal Terra

    in my imaginary build need a raid 4.0 pcie m2 controller so Taichi mobo is the best choice for pro users without forgetting plus of thunderbolt, that's amazing features inside there. Cool and smart rewiev!

    Excellent Review!
    Wish you had included how to remove the cover (the one with the non working gears) to access the battery to clear the CMOS when necessary instead of using the button located on top of the power one.

    Gosh, that is an absolutely gorgeous motherboard. When I win the lottery, that is the board that I will build (have someone build) my top PC on.

    • @RyhtymFiend
      @RyhtymFiend Год назад +2

      Bro this shit isn't that expensive. $4-5000 isn't even that much for a pc. Just save up for 6 months to a year and you can build a pc that will last 10 years easy. You know how much a car costs? A house?

    • @Jules_Diplopia
      @Jules_Diplopia Год назад +1

      @@RyhtymFiend No I don't know how much a car or a house costs. I know that I can't afford either.
      Save up for a year, then I might, might have 1000 euros. So 4-5k for a PC is out of the question.
      Think yourself fortunate if you have that kind of money, but remember that a large part of the world does not.

    • @RyhtymFiend
      @RyhtymFiend Год назад +2

      @@Jules_Diplopia true. I might have jumped the gun on that one a little. Only having $1000 euro after a year of saving sounds rough. I would find a hustle if I was in your position. You don't need to spend 5 racks on a PC anyways. You can build a mid rig for just over a thou and still be gaming at high refresh rates. Anyway I'm sorry it's like that. Everyone should be able to get the things they want from life. You deserve everything you want and more.

      @@RyhtymFiend Lol, so would I if I could. Disabilty excludes that. Hence the reason why I said originally that I would have to have someone build my PC for me. The lat piece of kit that I bought were Lian Li fans. Easy upgrade you might think. But it took me several days, lots of pain and tears, and I thought that I would never get my PC back up and running. Sucks. But have to make what you can of it.

    will audio production with this Lite board require more than a Noctua cooler (like H20 cooling) for the upcoming i7-14700K? ~~as well, ,,So the Gen 5 m.2 _1 will be fully function for storage with enough Power left in the associated PCIe slot (also to the CPU) to run a decent graphics card? and what card might you suggest in that slow for good but cheap additional graphics ? with the Z90 /i7-14700K.Great video,, really Blazing ,ultra, killer!!

    Im buying this board soon. Personally I will be using m.2 slots 2 & 3.
    Pcie 4.0 x4 is more than enough upto 7500mb/s read/5000mb/s +? Ive got an SN850X gen4 m.2 currently & Samsung 970 evo gen3. So I won't hinder the pcie 5.0 x16 slot at all?

    4:16 as far as I know RTX 40 series is PCI_E 4.0 only, so if you connect the M.2 #1 the GPU will run at 8X.
    Since RTX 4090 CAN'T run at the PCI_E 5.0 speeds it will run at 8X at PCI_E 4.0. I'm not saying it will cause a huge performance loss (it probably won't) but it something to keep at mind.
    if the future consumer GPUs will support PCI_E 5.0 then yes - running at 8X at PCI_E 5.0 would be like running at 16X at PCI_E 4.0.
    Intel could have solved this issue by allowing the PCI_E lanes that are dedicated to SSD to run at PCI_E 5.0, maybe throw 4 more PCI_E lanes for another SSD like AMD did.

    • @STSYT
      @STSYT  Год назад

      Everything you’re saying is right.
      But as I understood it, PCIe being backwards compatible, the 8x 5.0 slot would translate into a 16x 4.0.
      I could be wrong and 8x 5.0 using a 4.0 device ends up with 8x 4.0, but in that case it would be equal to a 16x 3.0 slot, which even with a 4090 would show minimal to no difference

    • @eliadbu
      @eliadbu Год назад +2

      @@STSYT it is backwards compatible but of course it will operate the lower speed standard - so if the card is gen 4 the 8X bus will run at gen 4.
      you can easily check it - connect some M.2 to that slot and 40 series card that has 16X PCI_E connection (not the 4060) and check at GPU_Z the link width and what gen it running.
      and yes the difference would be negligible - Gamers Nexus did a test of gen 3 vs gen 4 and usually the differences were quite minimal:

    i dont understand, why does using the slot number 1 "blazing" slot make your graphics card downgrade to 8x? i think my 4070 is 8x anyway but it just seems a strange thing to do

    These geniuses still not angling the 24pin towards the outside? Blazingly stupid.

    • @STSYT
      @STSYT  Год назад +1

      Propably because some cases have their 24-pin hole so close to the connector that the bend itself would break the cable.
      There are some though, but rare

    • @MP_7
      @MP_7 Год назад

      @@STSYT I know but you have to do these crazy 180 bends which is also ugly to look at, I resolved this with an 90 deg adapter. But again, for example the 6pin additional power you mentioned for front charging ports, is towards the outside, and obviously sata and other ports, will we ever see the 24pin angled becoming a standard...maybe in a 100 yrs, when molex will also be replaced I hope
