    Thank you for this. A lot of content creators in the overlanding space come out of the gate with all the latest and greatest gear on display, which can give the impression that it is, exclusively, a pastime of the independently wealthy and/or deeply indebted.
    My family has gained SO much insight and inspiration from your channel, and appreciate having the opportunity to witness the slow, deliberate evolution of your family’s overlanding vehicles and gear collection.
    Cheers - and please, keep up the excellent work! 🍻

    A pretty good set up. Especially like how you can divide your gear for solo minimulist to glamping. Most importantly is, it works for you.

    There are 4 of us and usually a dog, being minimalist is the only way we can do it and fit! But selling our 30ft camper and going to overlanding style camping we still have to find some of the luxuries to keep life comfortable. That has been the balance issue...finding effective quality gear that will make life simple but not take up too much room! Great video, get well soon! Congrats on the decision to add Patreon

    Lol, I was bored when the lockdown first started. I set up camp in my back yard. My neighbors loved me. Your heavy is still minimalist. I can get real crazy and take my Webber and blackstone sometimes. Great video. Stay safe.

    Well curated selection of gear for each load out. I run white gas for lanterns and cooking but I like the little tank. There are very few places that fill tanks nearby instead choosing to do 20 pounder swaps unfortunately.

    What works for the individual is what matters and you have a good setup for you and most people ! Mine is just a bit different but only because I camp a bit different but you asked, so I think it is a great setup especially to get started if someone wants to copy it or part of it and go get started and then tweak it as needed for their own use !!! Just my thought as you asked lol

    Great video, just one little suggestion. Instead of cast iron skillets. Look into carbon steel skillets. They're lighter than cast iron. But cook the same. Difference being they will heat up and cool down a little quicker than cast iron. But retain heat the same. And they'll last a life time.

      @WildcatPhoto Год назад +2

      I will look at carbon steel also, but don't know if I could give up my John Wayne skillet and JW stove top Dutch oven. I like them better than Lodge. I also have the heavy Stanley set, but think I don't really need it in addition to the others. I have light weight Stanley for heating water or soup. My only complaint about cast iron is waiting for it to cool to put stuff away.
