hello, i sterilized rotala macrandra but the growth of the plant is very insufficient. the media consists of 1/2 ms, 4 mg kinetin 0.1 naa and 2 ml ppm. I do this in my home environment as amator. my plants never cover the container. Could the 1 mg bap and 0.1 naa you gave in the previous video be used for most aquarium plants? I also have a s.repens plant, but even if I plant from 5 or 6 places, it does not spread much, even if you do it from one place, it has excellent growth, I wonder if it is because I use food grade agar.

Yes, I always use 1 ml/l of BA and 0.1 ml/l of NAA for aquatic plants.

Hey great channel, I recently stumbled on your tissue culture videos. Have you tried any photoautotrophic tissue culture (without sugar but just light + CO2) or hydroponic growing for carnivorous plants? I'm currently experimenting with it, but could only find info on Pinguicula.

I will have to do some research, it does sounds interesting.

I just made the KOH Solution and the PH was at 12. Its high, no? And how this high PH solution will reduce the PH of our culture medium? Can please explain. I am newbie and hope you could help. Thanks.

Yes, that was my mistake. I was suppose to use HCL not KOH. I'll make a video correction.

If you are preparing a 100 ml solution, you need to add that much amount of water.
Use a measuring flask to dissolve the pellets and then make up the solution to 100 ml by adding water.

@@Successkighanti You take around, say 20 ml distilled water in a beaker with markings of the volume. Add the KOH pellets to the water and keep stirring until they completely dissolve, Then make up the volume to 100 ml by slowly adding the distilled water, as marked on the beaker. That's it!

Your calculation is wrong. You have taken wrong molecular weight. Sodium has molecular weight of ~23. The resulting mol-weight for NaOH is ~39.9g/mol, so you should have dissolved 40g NaOH.
