Another fantastic video! And another tip from me. ;) A great recipe for red "glowing" lenses is basecoating them with yellow and then glazing over them with Bloodletter (Citadel Paint). This'll tint the lenses orange and the yellow in the centre will show through, giving them a natural glowing look. I'm also a HUGE fan of painting with shades. Great example of painting the black areas with a black shade.
I've started to paint the lens gold or silver and then using a drop of GW/Citadel Gemstone paints like Spiritstone Red, or Silver for Soulstone Blue or Waystone Green. Quick link of Duncan demonstrating the technique. I like how it comes out because I suck at doing the base coat, then the layer half moon, then cresent moon then the little tiny drop of paint opposite corner. Really enjoying your videos - great mix of instructions and side conversation/jokes. The production quality is very good.
May I ask about the dry brushing technique of using the mdf as the surface to wiping the brush? From your perspective why do you prefer the mdf versus materials like paper, pallet paper, paper towel etc?
Yo! Good question. I started using MDF because you get less tiny fibres and dust appearing when drybrushing. Paper/card tend to make a little dust.
She sounds like every gamer's girlfriend. it's awesome!
