    Menlo Park Mall is in Edison. The Greenway is in Metuchen, Edison and Woodbridge. The area on the video is Metuchen.

      @Ben yes I made the correction regarding Menlo on an earlier thread. However, that section of the Greenway is in Fords. The Greenway begins in Metuchen and ends in Fords.

    I moved to Woodbridge in 1998. It used to be a quite, low crime, inexpensive, and convenient Township. However, ever since 9/11, we have had a wave of NYC transplants moving in; and with them crime, congestion, inconvenience; and a myriad of other issues. Woodbridge has become, for lack of better words, a mirror of Northern New Jersey. Very much looking forward to move out myself if you’d ask me.

    • @newjerseylivinggroup
      @newjerseylivinggroup  Год назад +1

      @Mr Leek, thanks for your feedback. While can affirm that population density does correlate to congestion and higher crime rates, I have 2 friends/clients who recently moved their young families to Colonia and are very happy with the neighborhood. Woodbridge is geographically a very large township by NJ standards, so I understand that every neighborhood dynamic is not the same. In the meantime, I would recommend that you get a valuation of your home even if you are not looking to sell right now. I do this as a complimentary service, so feel free to email me at corey@prestigenewjersey.com, so reach out if you would like to discuss further.

      I agree with you ! What happened to our town ? Have you noticed that we now, sadly, have homeless roaming up and down Main St. Woodbridge,and sleeping at the train stations, hanging out at the 7 Eleven,and other stores. It is such a change from when I first moved here. There are "Transplants" from N.Y.C. and other neighboring towns. Middlesex County on a decline. N.J. Garden State ? More like the Apartment State !

    • @EdValencia
      @EdValencia 10 месяцев назад +1

      I have. And I also have observed how "urban" it has become since last I wrote this post. Three apartment complexes nearby the train station...all at once. And then a massive apartment complex by Wegmann's. It is crazy how aweful is to get around town, and how crazy expensive it has become.

      @@newjerseylivinggroup Great video showcasing the area. Not sure when you made this video but the Woodbridge proper area is getting more developed with a lot of condos. Two sets of condos went up by the train station and another on the way to the Woodbridge mall across from the Wegmans.

      Yes, I caught a few shots of the new development during the scene recorded in Woodbridge Proper by the train station. This episode was much longer than my typical videos because there was so much ground to cover in Woodbridge.
      I really appreciate the comments and feedback! Stay tuned for some give aways that will be offered in upcoming episodes. Looking to increase viewer participation with comments.

    I've lived here for almost 30 years, it has changed so much..not for the better ! I'm looking forward to moving out at some point. It is a noisy,congested area. Once the high rise apartments went up the town changed. Driving is treacherous...roads are always being worked on,which has taken a toll on all our cars. Some roads are being worked on for over a year ! I live on a main street,all we hear all day and night are trucks driving up and down all hours,loud blasting boom! boom! boom! cars stereos. We can't sit on our front porch due to all the noise ! Our residential street has been designated as a truck route ! We hear "Rolling Thunder" 24-7 (Fed Ex, Amazon,and UPS Tractor Trailers). We have our radio or our T.V. on to try and block out all the noise ( I have to sleep with my T.V. on). Our cars parked in front of our house and our neighbors cars have been hit and demolished through the years.The people moving in are loud, and inconsiderate people. The signs point to leaving Middlesex County. Oh... The schools are terrible ! Most of the older and, or,original residents are leaving. No, I will not be needing your services to move, or sell Thank You. Sad we have to leave my husbands boyhood home.

      Thanks for the comment @cindyurban150, and I promise that I will not solicit you for a sale! Note that Woodbridge is a very large town and what has happened in your neighborhood is certainly not reflective of the town as a whole. I have clients who have purchased in areas specifically for the neighborhood and quality of the schools. Most notably in Colonia. But the same can be said for Iselin and Fords. But given the area that you live on Main St, I can certainly understand the frustration with road construction!

      I think they continue to add nice apartments near the train station, it will draw in people who work in NYC but don't want to live there. I really like the new apartments that just went up. More nice apartments will attract young professionals who will stimulate the economy. This will bring more restaurants and shopping too.

    • @cindyurban150
      @cindyurban150 5 месяцев назад

      @@brennelson9692 It is also attracting some not so good people. I feel the new Apartments are an eye sore to a once small community. Who would want to live next to a noisy train station ? The transit systems are bringing some undesirables to town too. Our town is starting to look like an inner city dwelling, Trash, garbage and empty liquor bottles strewn all over streets, and parking lots. Walgreens locking up items that were once easily available,such as Shower gel,and Lotions ? Homeless people on Main Street. .With the more than seven new apartment buildings, the grocery stores are overcrowded,and the stock is low and very slowly replenished.The traffic is terrible, with N.Y. transplants driving like N.Y. Taxi drivers, and making their own rules.The young professionals don't work here, and probably buy everything online. So how is this a contributing factor to our town? People shop online, the stores we have in town, and our Malls are struggling to stay alive ! There's actually a sign in Woodbridge Center that greets you, it says "No Handguns Allowed". This is the New Community we now live in. We have many restaurants with little parking availability. I don't see any of this as a "Plus" for our once lovely, thriving community. It's time for me to look outside Middlesex County. I have a real estate company that harasses me twice daily with phone calls to sell my house. I won't give them my business,but perhaps a better, more professional realtor is in my future ! I've lived here for 30 years and I don't see these changes as a positive factor. I'm not a negative person, I'm a "Realist", I won't "Candy Coat" the current problems this town is suffering from.

      @Lenuta I appreciate your commentary and respect your perspective. I based my analysis on specific factors such as affordability, proximity to NYC, and school ratings etc. I also have friends and clients who have purchased in Woodbridge over the past 3-5 years and are very happy with the community. With that being said, their experiences in no way represents everyone's experience in the community.
      If you are a current resident looking for options to relocate, I would be happy to offer my knowledge and insights on the current local market.
