My first name starts with an I, but I have people having problems spelling my name rather then pronouncing it.

I remember on my first day of school I didn't know how to spell my name so when I was writting my name I put "Kat"
My names nyasia and I used nyaisa for a long time in head start until one of my teachers corrected me then I got mad because I hated being corrected lol

My Professor mispronounced my name so often he literally renamed himself T’Rae’s Professor in a zoom call
My name is super common, except for the fact that my spelling is basically the least common one, even behind ones that were completely made up by Americans trying to be "unique." :P I 100% expect people will get it wrong the first few times, but it often gets ridiculous even going into foreign spellings like "Mikhaila" and pronouncing it like "McKenna" or "MEEK-ah-EH-luh." People won't even call me by my preferred nickname ("Mickey," like Mickey Mouse), they call me "Kayla" even after I tell them I hate that name and even though I plaster "Mickey" on all my social media... It drives me crazy. :/
I can relate because my name is in my native language which is Hawaiian so people would say “Kamaile” I’m usually fine with that but when people start to do it often it gets annoying lmao
My name starts with an A. Over the course of my life I've been called Addy, Amy, Allie, Alice, Annie, Abey and Justin. None of those are my name XD

My name is usually super hard to pronounce to people that aren’t close to me, I don’t want to show my name but I will show some ways people have pronounced my name before for example, some people say “A-Geel-ia”, “a-gal-ia”, or even “Amelia” however Amelia is a somewhat common name thats so close to mine yet so far.
Stories time: my name is Charlene and my fourth grade teacher used to call me Charlena because she said she used to have a nice student called that and I considered it my own class nickname and my friends would call me lene and char. During sixth grade, my math teacher call me chanel and she joked saying " I call you chanel but not Charlotte !" And the whole class joked saying I was expensive and branded now and I think she called me that for another 2 or 3 times
I absolutely get this. With my name, people misspell it, and mispronounce it all the time. Heck, there was a person I worked with for TWO YEARS who only called Melissa. Over the years I've learned to just respond to anything that sounds remotely like my name. XD
I was about to be called Alice, but my mother wanted something less common and ended up naming me Alyson with the Y instead of the more common I.

My mom's name was Ama, but people thought it was Anna or Alma when she said her name.
I remember I had a sub in school once. She mispronounced so many names and started telling the students: "ACTUALLY, YOU'RE NAME IS SPELLED WRONG, IT SHOULD BE SPELLED THIS WAY." And proceeded to send papers back to students with their names on their paper, making them change it to how it's "supposed" to be spelled
I have a similar problem, but with my last name. Everyone who hears it for the first time think its Clemons when its Plemons.

My name is Thandi (the “h” is silent, and the “a” is pronounced like an “o”). It’s Swahili so I understand when people get it wrong sometimes. But one time I was at the park and I met this girl and she was like “Thandi is too hard, I’m just going to call you Josie” lol 😂
EDIT: Wait...I googled it and the name Thandi is actually Xhosa! Whoops, I guess we all learn new things about our names lol
So if you don’t know how to pronounce MY name, it’s mee-LA. Trust me I’ve gotten my name pronounced wrong many times. Especially when there’s a substitute teacher doing role call. I’ve had someone call me “ma-lia” when I kept correcting them, and I can definitely tell they were trying to tick me off. Again, it’s spelled M-I-L-A pronounced “mee-LA”
My mouth hates certain words for some reason, so no matter how many times someone says their name or certain words I will mess them up unintentionally.
Who else sees most of the videos before sge even reacts to them?

My name is pronounced Brin-Ya Almost everyone I have met has pronounced my name wrong. The only people besides my family who pronounced my name right the first time were, my mom's friend from Finland, and my beatboxing teacher! I just get called B or Blur cause my name is hard to pronounce. It is so annoying. My name is originated in Scandinavia. I love my name. But I guess soft j's are just too hard for some people.

My name is keiara it's pronounced like this Key air a it was made up by my mom I always loved my name I always got confused when ppl would say names that r similar sounding to my name but r spelled different. So I sometimes mistaken them for calling me for something that happened sometimes at school when I use to be in school we had so many girls with that situation there with me.
