The dialogue in NH is so disappointing, even compared to more recent games like New Leaf. It doesn't feel like there're 390+ villagers: there's just 8 personalities with different skins. I had frigging _Drago_ at my campsite yesterday and I ignored him because I already have Papi and I didn't want to deal with two Lazy villagers talking about their insect friends every. Single. Day.
The villagers in the past animal crossing games were MEAN Not just mean like fricking evil especially with bees they used to make fun of you when you got stung

Here in Latin America there is only one prom...It is practically the only night besides your wedding where you are allowed to dress fancy without being judge. Sad :(
In the old games, Snarky and Grouchy villager started off fairly rude but their dialogue transformed after you became closer... and not all villagers started off rude. I highly recommend trying the old one, has the best OST of any animal crossing game.
And I’m over her hating on Phyllis (New Leaf). She’s nice compared to the original game villagers. And at least I can avoid her by only going to the post office in the day

I love the creativity that you get by new horizons but i would like it if the Villagers were a bit more like in the gamecube they don't know you and need to warm up to you over time. some are nice and friendly from the beginning and some are always pissed off. They don't need to go all "runt of the litter" but they could be a bit more open and sassy. I know it can be hard with all the Villagers that are there but then dont put all of them in and work on their characteristics
We didn't have prom....just a school grad ceremony party were peeps could dance, eat and drink all night long...I didn't do that either. I'm uncomfortable in crowds and dance parties, I usually just end up slouched in a corner watching RUclips on my phone after all my friends ditched me
Random fact: While I was watching this, I saw an ad for invisalign. I almost laughed my head off though, because I just so happen to have misshapen teeth that my mom says I should get braces for. And I literally almost yelled at my laptop, "APPLE ARE YOU WATCHING ME THROUGH MY MONITOR CAMERA AND KNOW I NEED TO GET BRACES?!"

Wild World/City folk had a great balance of character dialogue.
The first game had the best tbh, wild world/city folk had good dialouge tho.
