    Modern Fox Meta:
    "I'm fighting!!" 😠
    "Umm, you're dying..."
    "I SAID I'm FIGHTING!!!!" 🔪
    "Okay... Geez."
    *Dies everywhere*

These fighty games are a result of your playing style. You play solidly with a better opening and the opponent falls behind. They notice, and in a desperate attempt to regain the lead they complicate the game with fights hoping to kill, and invade (creating more groups) hoping to reduce, while hoping for mistakes in the resulting fighting. When you're playing well enough to avoid big mistakes (not guaranteed; see Friday's stream 😉), their complications and excess groups naturally die.
Also, Fox players just tend to be aggressive.

Two videos - nice! I am also experimenting with the kosumi tsuke vs pincers. Seems good and people don’t know it

Speaking as a DDK, while I can't always follow along as well in these dan-level games, these last two videos I guessed your move enough times to feel competent saying this was basic enough to count.

As 4k EGF (I don't play online) moves and kills were basic enough, quite easy to follow.

Sometimes basics and murder are the same thing. Maybe your opponent knows who you are and is doing the opposite of your monday/friday thing. Personally I think you are playing basics nice and deliberately but maybe that's because I'm listening to your dialogue. What's happening is you're just good bro. Also at some point stones interact and things get complicated and murder-y. Go is usually bloody on the edges.

I don't know it just looks like some sort of Kamikaze style where it doesn't matter if they die anyway as long as it's still possible to take you down by any chance... Mistakes happen fast and often, after all.
But then it doesn't look and feel like Go anymore, it's uglier. A bit of a shame... Such is life though... !
I don't think your style of play has changed, but it's hard to tell, I watch you quite often so if changes are taking place, it's too subtle to be seen and spotted. Do you know what I mean ?
Anyway, have a good one mate ! Thank you for your videos ! 😄

Your last opponent was going strong until move 119, a huge oopsie. Thereafter their playing was more like flailing. So, to your kill question you only needed to exploit the big mistake on the middle-lower right. All the others were just for fun 😱

The reason for fighty games, imo, is that everyone gets AI reviewed now, and AI recommends crazy fighting all the time, so it seeps into every level of play.

      could be onto something there

Could be. Chess evolved in similar fashion, moves and positions that would be almost unthinkable in the past are now common as AI showed they are fine.

It seems like to me that your opponents really started this all with pretty severe overplays and a lot of time overplays can get complicated.

Play got complicated because your in Brawler mode and not Phalanx mode. Duh. 😊
