Hi ! Whatever the shape, a cabinet need a minimum of sound absobing/difussing material. When the sound waves are produced by the driver ( mid-woofer ), they bounce back on the internal surfaces of the cabinet and come back hitting the cone with a delay. Also, the panels themselves can resonate at certain frequencies, thus emitting audible noises. Port noise is also a concern. I never use Polyfill in my speakers because their absortion factor is too low. Acoustic foam cost more but is better. Thanks for the video !!
