It depends. If you're only doing event florals you can get away without a cooler for a while, and a dumpy fridge will get you by! If you're doing on-the-spot arrangements and funeral work you may want to invest in a sliding-door fridge/cooler. And if you get into doing several events in a weekend then you'll want a walk-in cooler that you can DIY with a CoolBot, look them up!
Absolutely! I also love cold garages! Anything above freezing works just fine. They keep the coolers around 38-40 and the flowers love it (except tropicals).
Hiiiiii. Love your videos! This is exactly a question i have been wanting an answer too. I am living in a tropical country. Hence it is hot and humid. My fridge is always full with food stuff 😐 Is air condiitoning enough?
Thank you for your kind comment, so glad we can help! Ok, so I recommend putting only sensitive items with a short vase life in the fridge. That would be things like Anemones, Astrantia, Tweedia, and maybe Ranunculus and Lisianthus. I would avoid the first three types I mentioned if you know you won't have room. The other two will do just fine without it, but you will def wanna keep them in a cool, dark spot in the house. XXXX, Amy
First off I LOVE this page!!! It’s been extremely helpful to me as a new florist. Secondly, I live for the little notes and adlibs on the screen 😂😂
We're so glad you found us!!!
I have a question do I need a refrigerator or flower cooler in my flower shop? Or can I just use buckets

Do you have any recommendations for the best way to store large flower foam arrangements that i'm hoping to make the day before my wedding?
Keep them in a cool spot and be sure to keep that foam hydrated with a sink sprayer, garden hose, or watering can!
Would residual vegetable and fruit gas that’s in the fridge (after all vegetables/fruits are taken out) affect the flowers?
To be honest, I'm not sure....but I don't think the ethylene lingers so I wouldn't be too concerned with it.
What about a cold basement?
