    Its obvious that you need to bring certain gear with you on a mountain bike ride, but no one likes to have a heavy pack on their back. Cutting back on the gear you take with you, and transferring that weight onto your bike allows you to be more flexible and mobile while riding. In this video, I show you my bagless mountain bike setup, and how I am able to carry everything I need for both hydration and trailside repairs. Down below are links to everything you see in this video in case you are interested in a similar setup.
    Let me know down in the comments if there is anything I missed! I want to know what you carry and how you carry it!

    Exactly what I was looking for. With a traditional tube that case wouldn’t suffice but with the tubolito tubes it seems like enough room for essentials for shorter rides! Thanks for sharing!

    This is exactly what im dealing with right now! I just bought a frame for a new build project and its setup just like yours with no where for a conventional water bottle holder. Im definitely going to rewatch this video and apply some of your solutoons!

      One upside to the bottle location is that is keeps the extra weight down low 👍🏼

    I carry a hip pack for short rides and a hydration pack for longer ones I carry a multi tool pump tire levers zip ties a dynaplug kit with extra plugs valve core remover tool snacks water bottle or hydration pack sometimes both and I don't carry a tube because of space issues but I'll probably look into getting the really compact one you have

    • @TheShredShedMTB

      How do you like using a hip pack? I’ve wanted to try one, but am hesitant just because of the cost.

      @@TheShredShedMTB it's nice have the wait off your shoulders for sure and it doesn't feel like your wearing much you can still feel the wait but it's not as tiresome as a wearing a full shoulder strap pack the one I have super minimalist it's the 1 liter hip pouch by evoc but they also make three liter ones too.

    Great video as always brother. I ride a small frame size so even with the ability to mount a water I’m still limited on space. I’ve see your sub count is over 3k NICE! I’m at 335. Slow and steadily increasing lol.

      ohh thats tough! I know there are some companies, fidloc included that make more of a stubby style bottle for fitting into smaller frames.
      Thanks! keep on grinding, man! its a lot of work, but the process is so fun!

    A blade for triming bacon strips and cable ties etc. The refill blades for small retractable craft knives where you snap of the tip as the blunt. Snap off about 5 segments. Flatten a large drinking straw, cut one end with scissors, and seal with a lighter. store the blade inside and fold over the other end. Slide into a spare space.

    • @TheShredShedMTB
      @TheShredShedMTB  Год назад +1

      @@TheShredShedMTB Just not as compact, lightweight and customizable. Mine fit's inside my bacon strip plugger tool alongside the bacon strip. Either way, a small knife is useful.

    I carry tube patches with a little glue. It helps if there is a rip on the side on the tire. Plus co2 has duct tape wrapped around it. But I lost it or left it. In a trail. Helping someone else.

      will the patch stick if there is sealant on the tear?

    • @Wannaridebikes

      Wipe it and then stick it. Or wrap gorilla tape on something. That works as well.

    Great video! I'm going to do a similar setup for my bike for a Enduro race. You said you cant fit a full sized tube with the multitool, what about with out the multitool case? I have the same M19 tool and would like to use this bag with the tool behind the tube. I also have the Fid lock and it is awesome! Its never going to fall off!
    Thanks again for the awesome video!

    • @TheShredShedMTB
      @TheShredShedMTB  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! You could probably make it fit without the case. But in the event you need the tool during the race, it’ll be a huge pain stuffing they tube back into the pack

      @@thebigoutside9623 any time! A big reason I wanted a bag rather than a strap is that I was worried having a tube exported to the elements like that might cause a small tear or weaken the rubber over time. Getting blasted with sand/rocks, stuff like that. I may be wrong, but that’s what was going through my head haha

    And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27)
    For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26)
    For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
    The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
