Sounds like we have a epic journey ahead of us. I'm excited but I hope it's more true to the old sound than the powermetal version. Lookin forward to it, and as always I like the review Pedro.
An excellent album! Thalassic was their best album for a long time. But this is the first Ensiferum album I'm listening end to end many times since jari-era. Every song earns a spot. Liking the versatile vocals and the concept. I think the band has grown.👍👍
3 of the tracks are so short it’s quite a bummer. It’s like small bridges to the next track but overall it’s good but yeah it’s different than traditional folk. It’s like a fantasy album
From what you said, I think I'm going to love this album. The age of jumping all night long has passed, I'm old and weighty 😂, I prefer now to sit and enjoy the music. 🙂
It's unfortunate that it's not a guitar driven album. Way too many big choruses and build ups and not enough frenzied hookier riffs. It does flow well BUT it does so due to the similar tones and styles with all the songs. Almost too similar. It is certainly their most power metal styled album.
Thalassic was epic, really looking foward to this new release. 🤘
I'd sum the album up like this: 30% From Afar, 70% One Man Army.
I was really looking forward to your review of Winter Storm Pedro!!! Cannot wait to hear the album on Oct. 18th. Thank you as always 🤘🤘🤘

Will have to check this out, absolutely loved their early stuff with Jari but also loved Victory Songs. I have not really enjoyed much since then.

A 7 song album with less than 40 minutes. Done in 4 years. Lame.
Chill
@@Thrasher_Abbatoir Its a reloef though when compared to what Wintersun has done.
@@blindg7092Time II is a masterpiece though
@@marvinkika7065 I agree. After shrinking it to 35 minutes.
