  • So this is second part of my wood chipp dryer,as you can see moisture before drying is around 30%,i expect the final result to be around 10% but it is even better,it dry wood chipp completely,i also put insulation on outside to keep all the heat and speed up the process,i am happy how it works, you saw on trailer how much wood chipp i have to dry,but when you don`t have to do anything when chipp is drying it is perfect, thank you for watching

Greetings. So what's better fuel for you: your homemade briquettes or these free wood chips? I think you will get lot of fire and smoke while you gonna burn these wood chips nevertheless they are very dry. Just because they have a very big surface area. I have tried to burn an aggro pellets - same effect. Briquettes I made in spring dried on sun on my balcony and garage without burning sawdust. They have smaller surface area so they are more like a regular wood fuel for my solid fuel boiler.

If you put lot of wood chip at once it will smoke a lot,but in my burner wood chip is added slowly and it burns perfect with very little smoke, anything from wood if you burn it it will smoke, will show you when i make some modification to my old burner,i have to make new fan, rebuild my welded auger, and other things, you will see that very soon, greeting
