  • Storyteller Veena Hasan in India today tells The Clever Waitress which she learned from Nour Qandeel aged 12 from Ga2a.
Veena writes "Good morning ! Narrating Nour Qandeel’s grandmother’s story was an amazing experience. I was delighted to hear his story as I remembered listening to stories from my grandmother too . This was a bond I developed immediately. I am really impressed by the way Nour narrated the story with ease. Hats off to his teacher who enhanced his speaking skills ! Thank you Nour for sharing your story ♥️🤗Keep shining !🤩🌟
    My learning experience…..
The two girls in the story were so different in nature . One flaunting and full of herself while the other hardworking and still had to tolerate the taunting words. The reply was indeed befitting as she was a clever and wise girl and could respond promptly. I wonder how many times customers may belittle her as she is a waitress.
At this point it comes to my mind if faced such a situation how can we face it. Perhaps smile and say "Ok" or keep silent and excuse yourself.
I am also curious to know from whom did Nour’s grandmother hear this story. Will Nour’s mother be able to answer ?
Thank you so much for this wonderful heartwarming platform where we can express our feelings."
🍉Enjoy Nour telling The Clever Waitress, a wise and witty tale which his mother learned from her own mother here • Nour Qandeel from Ga2a...
Nour is a brilliant young storyteller and is coached by his excellent storytelling teacher Deyar Hatem, also from Ga2a.
🍉I'm sharing this as part of Tell a Child in Ga2a's Tale, a project started by David Heathfield and Haneen Khaled. Read on to learn more - and do consider retelling a story. Haneen from Ga2a and David from the UK invite you and everybody you know to choose a tale, retell it and share it around the world to return the hospitality shown from their homes in Ga2a by wonderful young storytellers.
Every day from November to January David shared a story told by a child in Ga2a on Facebook and since then more stories have been shared by children from Ga2a.
    Here are the stories: drive.google.c...
I'd love to add your retellings of these stories to this public playlist 'Tell a Child in Ga2a’s Tale' • Tell a Child in Gaza’s... which is growing and growing.
To find out more about the project, read this article by Haneen Khaled Jadallah and David Heathfield www.hltmag.co....
