I love Steve kornacki. He has the most active two arms in the business.
I always get a bit mesmerized watching him because his movements are so robotic yet organic, it feels like he's doing an animatronic impression.
So true 😊
😂
3 party election. & debate & Nov. Election
Your mom also has the most active arms in the businesss
If Maryland votes Hogan in you’ll have another Suzanne Collin’s known for being moderate yet votes a lot with Reps.
The same Suzanne Collins who said Trump has learned his lesson so she voted against impeaching Trump boy was she wrong about him and his SC justices. Hogan is not winning on the Supreme Court alone.
I think it's time to look beyond these empty party titles and vote for someone whose platform you can get behind on specific policies whether that is democrat, republican, or another party.
Alsobrooks is winning the primary by double digits when Trone (the more conservative Democrat) was shown to be in a stastical dead heat with her most of the campaign. It used to be the Democrat/more progressive candidate were always underperforming the polls. Since 2022 though it's flipped and they've been overperforming in almost all the elections.
I think Hogan has little chance.
In what way Trone is conservative?
@Cubus-zapasowy In comparison to Alsobrooks. He's not a _conservative,_ he's just the more conservative of the two.
@@Drawkcabi I dont see anything conservative in him.
@Cubus-zapasowy To put it another way then: Alsobrooks is even more progressive than Trone is.
Alsobrooks is way more likely to have trouble beating Hogan compared to Trone. Obvious stuff.
Polls are a sample of voters.
Everyone in Maryland vote 🗳
I agree. I’ll never vote democrat again.
That’s the problem with dictatorial governments- it’s promising until it’s too late and it no longer works for you.
Post-Mussolini Italy finally knew.
If you can’t see the con, then you are the target. Vote blue if you want rights.
@@PabloTheThinker Could be your last vote ever then. Or maybe you’ll get Russia-style voting where “everything’s made up and the points don’t matter,” like “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”. If you don’t like dictatorships, you’ve got to vote Democrat until Trump passes away, apparently.
We sure will. And it will not be for a Democrat.
Most of us will vote for Angela.
Marylander here, and we won't be duped by Hogan again
The most recent poll I saw was from The Hill. It showed Alsobrooks beating Hogan by 10, and Tyrone beating him by 11. I am not sure how that upends it.
I think the majority of Democrats like Hogan. But I also think they know its too much of a risk to give it the senate majority to REP.
I’m hoping you’re right.
I’m hoping you are wrong.
I agree. Voters know there's too much at stake with Trump and his cronies at the top of the ballot, so I think a Dem will pull off a win there. Seems a lot of young people have been voting lately too, so that's plus for Dems.
I actually like Hogan because he had his views but wasn’t forcing to make those decisions for us but yea I don’t want to risk giving them the majority and them not doing anything but debate washing machines and non serious issues
No way with control of the Senate at stake, in a presidential election year with Biden ahead 33 points in Maryland, will the state split the ticket. Hogan doesn't stand a chance. The polls that have him ahead are way off! Just like the polls that had Trone ahead. Alsobrooks will be the next U.S. Senator from MD.
A lot of these senators that are running don’t have any money though because of the RNC is not giving it to him
You mean their globalist donors? Like the Dems?
Great! 💙
Because they arent the establishment.
MD likes a repub gov but we would never give the senate to the repubs. hogan will lose
Ohio does something similar. Not a fan. But we might lose Sherrod. Sad days.
MA did this for a long time.
Hogan a republican?? there's the farce...
Well the senate is going Republican with WV and then probably Montana, and that doesn’t even take into account any battleground states or Ohio flipping. So wouldn’t it be nice to at least have a senator who would be able to keep the right flank in check especially after losing Romney
Hogan also went MAGA-y during his primary ads, people in Baltimore remember how little he did for the city
Hogan was a great governor, but MD is to blue to let him into the senate
too blue and thank God

a lot of people are feeling a whole lot different about that we dont all have trump derangement so again "trump bad" is not going to win you this election you guys have nothing to run on and thats why trump is going to win and have a super majority in the house and senate
You gotta be living in an alternate universe if you want to split your ticket.
Congratulations Alsobrooks #2024

Hogan is popular I guess. But like Steve said, since Maryland is heavily Democratic in presidential elections, and with young people voting in these last couple of midterms, and the idea Hogan would give the GOP an extra senate seat with Trump at the top of the ballot, along with his cronies, I see a Dem win in MD come November for US Senate.
More bogus mainstreaming of trumpists, and Republicans by the legacy mainstream media.
Why didn’t the headline read: “Alsobrooks’” victory over more conservative billionaire white man signals trouble for for Republicans”?
They are spinning things …
As a Marylander, let me dissuade you of your confidence in Alsobrooks taking that Senate election. Hogan was, unfortunately, an incredibly popular Governor - even among many Democrats. And while I appreciated that he refused to become Trump's lackey in MD, he won't have the same independent streak were he to get into the Senate. And many Marylanders don't understand that. Alsobrooks is attempting a MAJOR jump from county executive to Senator, while attempting to defeat the most well-known, and one of the most well-liked MD politicians of the past two decades. If we Democrats don't come out in major numbers this election, and throw all of our support behind a candidate in Alsobrooks (who is relatively unknown in MD outside of Prince George's County), we'll be dealing with a critical blow in our attempt to keep Republicans from gaining control of both houses. Democrats in MD and Congress are going to have to put a lot of money into this race and make a lot of appearances on behalf of Angela Alsobrooks if we are going to ensure a Democratic victory. This is by no means a gimme.
Wes Moore is very popular. I’m sure he will help her get elected. Who knows, maybe Obama will come. Marylanders are smart. A vote for Hogan is a vote for Ted Cruz.
Same thoughts here
I think Republicans expect to lose there but it opens an opportunity to drain some Dem money going into the race.
That was before MAGA, no more split ticket for me. Not if MAGA is around.
Trump 2024. Your family fled their rats nest to come to America for a reason.

This guy is my definition of a geek.
So if we just ran a vanilla Democrat it would be a slam dunk.....instead were rolling the dice again with Biden.
The legend of Kornacki continues, King of Nerds.
Voted all Dems out
Whether they are Democrat or Republican, we need legislators who have integrity, who have common sense, and will do things that are for the common good.
There are no such Republicans. Any that would possibly meet those requirements would be summarily REJECTED by the MAGA leadership of the party.
In all likelihood, Democrats will do better on that front
@@seand1011 i highly doubt that.
One party has shown it is incapable of doing anything, so I can’t say I agree
@@ZachToillion I highly doubt that the democrat party will do much good. I have the identical doubt of the republican party.
Regardless of whether Hogan or someone else wins, Maryland will still get a Democrat.
@@MonkeyDLuffy-fc3qb You can be sure. Hogan is a Democrat in everything but name.
Given the opportunity to have the first black female senator in MD is what will bring Alsobrooks barely in front of Hogan.
I think she will win in a landslide.
Racism is not a reason to vote for a candidate, how is she qualified? From county executive to Senate? A Senator's job is to look after the entire state, I doubt anyone outside of Prince Georges county believes she has any interest what so ever in representing them. I have not heard her make a statement that suggests she is aware Prince Georges county is not the only county in Maryland.
A senators job is to vote in the Senate based on the constituents needs in their state balanced out with the needs of the country. You don't need to have any administrative or executive experience to be a good senator. If she was running for governor I would probably agree with you.
Both candidates seem great. But Hogan’s got much more experience and is capable of working across the aisle. I’m not sure either of those factors can really be said for Alsobrook.
Hope Hogan wins it. He’s done a ton for Maryland and hopefully people vote person over party on this race.
He was way off in mid terms and other races why does anyone take Steve seriously
That NYT poll is horsecrapito.
Polls are not always right
Hogan may be a “moderate” Republican but if he joins the Senate, he will be voting with other Republicans who will pass laws affecting Maryland that are certainly not moderate. Voting for Hogan means voting for the Republican right-wing extreme agenda.
what "right-wing" extreme agenda is that? restoring the family nucleus? reducing taxes? enforcing our border? recognizing property rights? keeping psychologically disturbed biological men out of women's spaces? Ending the war in Ukraine through responsible negotiation? refusal to back a terrorist organization that would happily launch an Oct 7 style attack against mainland US if they could?
He will block any Supreme Court nominee that Joe Biden picks if there is a seat to fill. Even Senator John McCain said he will block Hillary Clinton’s nomination if she won the 2016 election.
Hogan isn’t beating Alsobrooks. Maryland has a strong black population and they have a chance to put the only black woman in the senate to represent not just them but black women across the country!
That is awfully racist.
@@_TheLONEwolf how is it racist wanting black women to have representation in our government!? Take your reverse racism BS elsewhere.
I thought a Senator is supposed to represent everyone
You're wrong about that, it's not the black population that will do it, it is the government workers that live in 4 counties in Maryland that will vote to assure their own job security and continued raises even while the rest of the country falls into Biden's recession.
@@kb3byu since she represents women and their interests she represents me more than Larry Hogan.
no way is Nevada gonna be simultaneously R+12 presidential and D+2 Senate

POLLS SMOLLS
Save America vote republican
Steve Kornacki, RETURN THE SLAB!
And a least known who are our enemies
It is true that there have been barely any split ticket situations since 2016, but this is the first time that this particular class of senators have been on a ballot that coincides with a presidential election since then. A potential confounding variable. I don't think Hogan has a very realistic shot, but time will tell. I expect he'll do better than any Republican senate candidate has done in Maryland in decades, but will ultimately fall a bit short. Maybe losing by 8-10 percent overall.
Steve, I beg to differ with you, don’t automatically assume that the popular Governor will win in MD
I wish Josh Kelty was an advocate against domestic violence rather than an advocate of domestic violence. I wish he would do his job rather than abuse his position to get men off!
I'll vote for hogan. Did for governor a few times already.
Raskin better get out there and help his fellow Dems campaign! Save the Senate and the House! Vote Blue!
Zero chance that Dems will hold the Senate. All the Republican held seats are safe this year and Republicans are certain to end up with at least 53.
I’ll be here to collect all those tears come November😈
Nope, not voting blue..sorry.
Total votes cast for senate - Dems 513,000, for Republicans 250,000. I like those odds.
@@darrylbradleyYou will regret it.
It’s sad to many people don’t want to vote 🗳️ for common sense
It's common sense that this administration is failing domestically and abroad. And dems in Congress dont seem to have an issue with the extreme direction and failure the party is currently partaking in.
I agree. I’ll never vote democrat again.
West Virginia is a clear example
Maybe if he ran as a conservative Democrat he would’ve had a better chance.
ok where are his kakis??🤔
It’s going to be a Montana, where the popular ex dem governor ran and lost by almost 10%. And Maryland has one of the highest educated electorate, so hopefully they vote for whoever but what’s with best with their interest
Hogan was one of the best governors Maryland has ever had but once he chose MAGA his politics changed drastically
1st Debate question for mr trump and President Biden at the 1st Debate in June . Who won presidential Election in 2020 ?
This is simply not going to happen
Why do you show Maine in Blue?? We have 1 Republican Senator (Susan Collins) and one Independent Senator (Angus King)!
Angus King caucuses with Democrats so he’s counted as Democrat same thing with Bernie Sanders in Vermont
Because the state voted for Democratic Party since 1992.

So, why is Hogan running in Trump's Party and not as an Independent?
@obsocky779 just like Bernie is independent but runs Democrat. The political system doesn't support 3 parties only 2. Hence why it's so much money spent to keep the status quo. You only have a chance winning as GOP or Dem.

If the Gov race was on the same year as the Prez, Hogan would’ve not won.
What does this have to do with anything? 🤣 & I seriously doubt that. Christie won NJ, in a presidential year, and the entire East Coast revolted against the Democrats in 2010 because of Obama
I agree. The polls had Hogan's opponent (was it Brown?) ahead of Hogan during most of the campaign, at times he was up by double digits. I think that in 2014, the Democrats voter base was a bit more apathetic to voting during midterms. It wasn't until the Trump era that the Dems were stoked into taking midterms more seriously. Yes, Hogan soundly won reelection in 2018, but that was after 4 years of proving himself to be a good governor and he had the incumbent advantage. If he was running for his first term in 2018, I don't think he would have won.
I know in 2014 I was shocked when Hogan won. I also skipped voting in the 2014 midterms I'm ashamed to say. That was the last time I skipped voting in the midterms.
@@hamish2884 Hi Hamish, you seem to be a little clueless so I'm happy to help streighten some things out. Chris Christie didn't win anything in NJ in a presidential year. Neither 2009 and 2013 were presidential election years, which is when Christie had his GOV elections.
@@hamish2884 New Jersey votes in an off off year, in Christie’s case in Nov.2009 & Nov.2013, which are more sleepy years than the mid-terms.

The RNC is under bad management. Hogan might have a shot otherwise. Trump is lacking a message / something he is campaigning for. He could come out in favor of more tax incentives for married couples with children - which would be a totally populist Republican theme that most people would go for. Steve, who answers polling calls? Do young people tend to puck up the phone when they don't know who's calling? What does your polling say about that? I don't want to sound angry, but the traditional polling methods seem to be designed to create a closer race and more buzz, thus more clicks for advertising. The last several elections have shown us your methods are not an accurate reflection of what is happening on the ground.
Pants Man
I think it's very kind of n b c to help black burn victims by advancing their career and putting them on. As on air talent.
Naw
Polls are worthless if still done by landline phone calls. Most anyone under 40, or who lives in suburbia or an urban area doesn't have a land line anymore, and worse, will not answer calls they don't recognize the ID of. Those demographics have more D than R voters historically. The people with landlines, who answer every call and are willing to waste 30 minutes with a pollster are older, are more prone to believe in conspiracy theories (which is why they have a landline...) and demographically are more R than D.
EVERY mid-cycle election since 2020 has been pro-D and the D candidates have outdone the polling by a wide margin. Hopefully that will hold true in November.
Older voters with landlines vote in much larger numbers than Millenials and GenZ so it all balances out.
