My mom was a lifelong Bulldog fan. She passed in August, and never got to see this season play out. I watched the 1981 Sugar Bowl with her on a 13" color tv, and it was the most exciting moment of my 10 year old life. When Kelee scored on that pick six, I cried like a baby...I only hope Jesus had the game on that heavenly big screen and my mom got to watch it. Love you, Ma...GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!

The most poetic part about this video is how Kirby Smart ran on the field celebrating with his Alabama players in the first scene, & won Georgia it's first championship in 41 years by beating Alabama in the last scene. Go Dawgs!!!

Last year, Georgia’s first score and last score was a safety. This season, Georgia’s first and last score was a pick six.
Our last score was a field goal against Cincinnati last year
We kicked the field goal with a few seconds left but still had to kick off to Cincinnati…. they botched the pooch kick and started from their own 2 with one play left and we got the sack to win 21-17!!! I was at the game and it was literally the start of this NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP run!!!

Dude-- 1980 at the age of 13 was also cooler that school. Watching Herschel Walker #34--run all over everybody. Undefeated season. Herschel ended up getting the Heisman. People gave us grief about the 40 year run-- but man when we get a Chip-- we go grand.
I think what'll stick with me the most is what Lee Corso said: " All they got is the Heisman winner, all they got is the best head coach of all time, all they got is Will Anderson, the best defensive player in the country, and 30 days ago, they beat Georgia by 17. Poor ol' Georgia, all they got is a bunch of hungry Dawgs!"

I remember watching the Dawgs beat Notre Dame in Jan 1981 for the last one. We were packed in the Athens varsity watching on the TV’s there. I was 8. Hope to see a couple more not too far down the line.
A night to remember, my old man passed 4 months after the 2018 championship game and watching this game with my 2 boys meant the world. Other than wishing my dad was there with us, I wouldn't had it any other way. GO DAWGS!! Let's do it again!

I have followed this guy for years. Watched every Georgia vid. This one is truly special. He really captures the essence of why this win was so huge. The YEARS of pain that only Dawgs truly understand. This really is the perfect video to re-live the memories and feelings (good and bad) of this championship.

This was the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen. 37 minutes of pure goosebumps. Such a blessing to be able to call myself a Dawg fan. I wasn't born yet when we won in 1980, but 4 years later, I came out of the womb saying "sic 'em." I have patiently and painfully waited for 37 years to be able to say my boys won a Natty. And to have experienced a Braves WS win also. Forget about "we run this state." We run this country, baby!!!! Dang good time to be Georgian. Now, let's run it back. Great video.

This was an overall one the Dawgs best seasons and the Bulldog fans will cherish this season forever, we did have a terrible hick up in SEC Championship, but we made the playoffs, crush Michigan, and finally got revenge against Alabama after all those years. No more 1980 jokes, We are finally back on top as National Champions! Once a Dawg, always a Dawg, how sweet it is!!!

I know some of you have me beat in age and years waiting, but I was born 1998, and I sleep, eat, and breathe Georgia Football. I’m not a big NBA, NFL, MLB, or MLS fan. College ball is my life, and this meant everything to me. Don’t remember the year, but ever since I was a child I’ve been waiting for this moment. Playing Football from 1st grade to many years after, Georgia was always a big part of me. This year meant so much to me. From the regular season wins, to the National Championship, to just beating Bama . I was so young when Georgia beat Bama the last time. I don’t even remember it. I’m 23 years old, and it’s the first time I remember beating Bama, ever. The win meant a lot to me and to all us Georgia fans out there. It’s been a long time coming. Go Dawgs!!!

Great video dude, I remember being in sixth grade being so heartbroken watching the ending of the ‘12 SEC Championship, seems like it’s been more of the same since then. The Prayer at Jordan-Hare, loss to Bama in ‘15, humiliation vs Tech and Vandy in ‘16, losses to LSU in ‘18 and ‘19, getting stomped by Texas in the ‘18 Sugar Bowl, inexplicable loss to Carolina in ‘19, and obviously the championship losses to Bama. I think I covered them all. There was honestly a part of me that thought we’d never be able to pull off a Natty, so glad I was wrong. This team was special and I’ll never forget this season. Go Damn Dawgs.
Btw, I can’t wait for ESPN to come out with their documentary for this team around July or August!

My granny passed away in 2008. We watched every single game together up until she passed away. So much passion for our team that can’t be understood unless you are from the Georgia clay. I never got the chance to share a championship year with her. As soon as that pick six a flood of emotion struck me that I couldn’t control. Miss you granny. No more “we’ll get them next year”. Dawgs got that chip!
The last time I felt this way was Jan 1st, 1981. I was eleven years old and Herschel Walker played virtually the entire game with a separated shoulder. Herschel and the 1980 Dawgs wouldn't be denied. My Mom also passed in August and was huge Braves and Bulldog fan . I feel ya about GOD having it up on the big screen in heaven and I am sure he did for the World Series and National Championship. I cried when the DAWGS got this to finally be the champs for me the first. I was born in April of 1980 and I just missed the last one we won to be champs. I cried also cause I was missing my everything that I called my mother. I think the best way I can put it is that I can finally enjoy Georgia football again. I grew up exclusively during the “coulda, shoulda, woulda” era and only ever knew coming close but never finishing. I can finally watch UGA without that feeling in the back of my mind saying, “We’ve seen this script before”

I’ve been a Georgia fan since I was five years old back in 2000. Started watching with my dad and cheering on the dawgs every Saturday. I’m also a lifelong Braves fan too and after all that we’ve been through it’s gonna be so cool to tell my grandchildren one day that my dawgs and the Braves won their championships in the same year. Go Dawgs and Go Braves!

This is incredible... The weight of it all (41 years -- I'm 43, been going to Sanford since 1985 and am a 2001 graduate) was too much for me to take in, other than just be a screaming lunatic on the night it happened. But this brought it all home. I've seen so many wonderful and heartbreaking times. But this season was truly something special. I will never forget these guys. Legends. And this video just brought it home all the more. Thank you so much! Now I need a Kleenex... (in a good way). GO DAWGS!!!

I still cry thinking about the 2021 season i lost my sister on seotember 9th 2021 and my sister knew how much uga football meant to me all the what ifs the nearlys. I swear i never felt more faith in my life than i felt during those 4 months as if my sister was desperately trying to let me know shes ok and happy. I know its crazy but it was a sign from god to me that although im hurting everyday missing my sister that everything and everyone has a plan. I live my life totally different these days and although ive never seen a game between the hedges because i live in TN i will see one someday as that is my graceland. This team and University lifts me up in so many ways through so many dark days i thank them for it. These men may never know my name but theyll never know how deeply touched and thankful i am for the 2021 season.

Michigan Wolverine fan here. I came to watch the journey that Georgia had to go through to get to a National Championship level. I see that you guys had heartache as well. This made me cry like a baby! I have been a Dawg fan my whole life. Growing up in Florida, there weren't many of us fans.....ok there were NONE! I was born just a few weeks after the last time we went all the way to the top of the mountain. When I was little, my older brother and I would watch VHS tapes of the 1980 championship season. He would give me his hand-me-down shirts and hoodies. It wasn't like today, when you walk into any Walmart and get something of the SEC. This video, this season, and this team have been a dream come true I've been watching and waiting MY WHOLE LIFE! Thank you to whomever made this and thank you to UGA fans.........and GO DAWGS!
