We'll be back in six months to give updates on how our planning journey is going, so make sure you're subscribed! Let us know what planner(s) you're using in the comments. ;)
I'm using a Chuyu Culture planner in A6 1 page/day as a Tamagotchi Uni diary and a B6 hc notebook (5mm grid) by Conifer for journaling and brain dumping. My Chuyu Culture planner uses 68gsm TRP, so it's thicker than Hobonichi, but I don't have to deal with this year's bad batches of Sanzen TRP. The cover I picked (cats and skeins of yarn) is really cute. Side note: I'd love to see you on Bluesky. Stationery nerds aren't represented there yet. You'd be pioneers!
I ordered my first weeks. Between me ordering it and it arriving I realised that I also do most of my planning on my phone / google calendar. So I've been using it to do a tiny bit of journaling on the right and keeping track of what I do each day to work towards a few specific goals/values on the left.
Haven’t been much of a planner guy in the past, but my to-do list at work has completely ballooned after accepting a promotion at work. Excited to try the weekly Lecturm 1917 and see if it helps with the overwhelmed feeling.
Final comment on this video- Hats off to whoever came up with this idea of advertising where our favorite creators promote a product by actually sharing their own real experiences. And to the set designer(s)- this was a mega job. Much praise!
This was so much fun, thank you! And yes! I FEEL SO MUCH VALIDATION from Emily, am also a digital calendar kind of girl (easy to time block) and monthly calendars are... kinda useless for me. I always feel so bad when I have extra space in them.
I tried writing in a planner for work, notes to myself, things I didn’t want to forget but I stopped using it because it was too limiting. I got ahold of an A5 Moleskine and I write in it every day for work. Love it and I’m free to use the page for the whole day or just add a pen stroke, and write the next days date and go. Non structured writing got me writing for real, now I’ve written several novels and I’ll never stop now.
I love that y'all include different aspects of planning like digital tools and stationary not on JetPens. It really makes me feel validated in having some things on Notion and Apple Calendar while doing actual planning in my physical planners
Thank you for posting this very interesting video. It seems like everyone is having a "techo kaigi" these days (big smile.) It will be interesting to learn what your team is doing with their respective planners.
I'm a big Google calendar person and totally understand where Emily is coming from!! But I also keep a Hobonichi Weeks for planning and have the last 3 years. Google is for calendar and long-term stuff. If you ask me about a date next month, I will check my phone/computer. But once a week (Sunday evening), I sit down with my Weeks and google. I put my appointments and hard coded plans for the next week into weeks using one color. Then, I use another color to put my daily to-do lists. All the things that need to get done in the week but are more flexible and don't necessarily warrant a calendar spot. I use the memo section for lists, reminders, and other things that I need to remember but aren't long term. Stuff that comes up in the week. More long-term notes, lists, etc. go in the back. I don't really use the monthly. I have used the Travelers horizontal weekly on its own in the past, but they don't have enough note paper, and I don't want to commit to the entire Travelers system. Good luck to everyone! It is always fun to see how people use planners.
I am also in love with google calendar and born in the year of the snake 🐍 Last year I had dragon Hobonichi weeks but this year I have the weekly take a note b6.
Ive been using my One Piece x Hobonichi Weeks since December, and so far I'm loving it! Ive been using it for planning and journaling, deco stickers look so cute in them ❤
Hobonichi weeks (Liberty cover) with frixion multicolor pen. I just use the monthly section. That is my everyday carry planner. Other pages are for notes. Then I have a desk pad I write out weekly tasks, etc. 😊
16:18 For the monthly pages, I found that recording something really simple, like just a smiley/frowny face for the day helped me look back and see any patterns. It's super easy to do and nice to see at the end of the month/year.
I'll go back to Hobonichi when the paper debacle is settled, was torn between MD or my Muji planner, decided to use the muji just to test. It's decent but looks like I'll be going to A5 grid midori in 2026
You guys are very creative and inspiring ❤ I just ordered more things I don't need and now I'm angy b'cuz i didn't get any planner things!! Whatever.. maybe next year 😂
15:51 exactly what I had in my mind. I mean being someone who can't really purchase JetPens products right now but also being an enthusiast, I kind of tried some maneuvers using Google Calendar and Google sheets for weekly and daily tracking, to do lists etc. But then ofc hand writing notes is far better than electronic forms (mainly because Google Calendar has very limited color options.) Maybe we get to see a JetPens x Google collab in the upcoming years!
Since I work remotely, I somehow prefer my work planner digital with side cheap notebook to jot down quick and messy before move it to my digital calendar. But I do love journaling, still short tho, just 3 years experience, but I already found what kind of journal good for me so I hope I can fill my hobonichi day-free until the end since it's my first time using it (migrated from MD notebook). I'm liking the extra pages in hobonichi and fortunately mine's paper doesn't bleed that much, I'm going strong and filled 10 pages for January, so we'll see!
I love jibun techo vertical weekly planner. Thinking about trying the hobonichi weekly one tho idk. I like to keep track of times of classes visually. I love the Hobonichi grid notebook for taking notes in class. Minimal bleeding through pages and very smooth. But the paper doesn't seem to be strong enough for the frixion pens sadly. I keep ripping the paper with the eraser 😭 I really wanna try the Yamamoto notebooks so bad!
I am doing alright Journaling in my Sushi Hobo Weeks ("This Week In Weeks" is a good prompt!), but my intent to use the Hobo Hon Sushi for Art Journaling is crashing hard. I'm deep in Travelers systems too, THE Great North got me to start a Tivvy (Tobin Family Inventory) of all the stuff we have in the apartment and it is going strong!
I’m curious how everyone with Hobonichi feels in a couple weeks/months. I already want to get rid of my weeks and get a new small size daily planner. If it didn’t cost me $40 I’d have already recycled it.

It's official: I wish I worked at Jet Pens!
🤝 🦭seal of approval here Francine.
Same 😁
Me too - at least than I would be surrounded and supported by people who understand my addiction and struggle.
I'm so happy to know I'm not the only one who loves stationery like I do ❤

This is an awesome vibe just chatting about planners, art, journaling, you name it. I love this video!!!!

'It collects ephemera; not trash!'
Me too, Stephanie. Me, too 💖💖💖

I definitely identify most with Miriam!

i feel validated that i need more than one planner a year.
Loved this! Thanks for sharing!
One day at a time girls! Such a cute video. I will definitely check back in June! 🎉
You girls are a hoot and always inform, share information, and never fail to make me laugh and smile! Thank you for all you do! 😊
Also, Tina- straight outta an anime. Such funny, kawaii, entertaining expressions! Pure cinnamoroll vibes!

Yes! The Frixion multi pen!! Couldn't live without mine!

Cute! Love this-- please do this every year haha
This was great!!! ❤
I want Steph's hoodie!!
Hobonichi Techno weeks takeover!

And nary a Nolty. I totally get it though, it's a very different vibe than everyone's setups.

I wish I had those stationery
Will you carry Torinco planner? It looks perfect!
Can you talk about the green swatches poster in the back!

This is so random, but you HAVE to do a video when you hit 1 million subs. I've been watching your videos for years!
Not too far away! 🎉
I’m curious how everyone with Hobonichi feels in a couple weeks/months. I already want to get rid of my weeks and get a new small size daily planner. If it didn’t cost me $40 I’d have already recycled it.
❤❤❤
One Of These Things (Is Not Like The Others).
Team Emily attendance check!
I want Connie's bears cover!! And who had the Ibushi Kota cover?
What’s the clear cover of Avec Planner from Stephanie’s stack?
Maybe it’s from Midori MD L size cover. It fits in Avec, but not the whole year. I used it last year
PADDINGTON!!!!!
