I absolutely LOVE how you explained to that guy what locking tuners are meant for and he just walked away because he had no reply. Keep fighting the good fight, we need locking tuners on all guitars, especially those that cost more than, let's say €600
Yeah, the price difference (in consumer/retail pricing) is 20€ for locking tuners. Gotoh SG381 series non-locking and MG-T locking compared. And buying them in bulk as a mass production company would be even less. If it makes the guitar 10-15€ more expensive, i would take it any day. Because currently you have to pay full price for them after the fact anyway, even on 5000€ models with Edge tremolos.
Most guitar tuners are locking tuners, it all just depends on the quality of materials and craftsmanship, because if you read the mechanical theory of what a worm nut guitar tuner is, it is a worm gear that connects to a handle, that mechanism can only be turned from one direction which is the handle, it can't be rotated from the string side therefore it is 'locking' , a herculean force might be used from the string side to rotate the axle there but it will destroy the entire mechanism
100% with you on the locking tuners, they make string changes all but effortless and thanks for adding its NOT about tuning stability but the ability to put on new strings and remove old ones with less time and effort wasted especially in a live setting but at home or in the studio as well
Henning, thank you! I‘m absolutely with you. I have locking tuners on all my guitars. Doesn’t matter what price range. And it doesn’t matter if there is a locking nut or not. As you said, it’s about STRING CHANGE CONVENIENCE! Some brands did understand it. For example take a look at the new Jackson Virtuoso. Floyd Rose and Gotoh locking tuners. From a certain price range all guitars should have high quality locking tuners. Just my opinion…
Ibanez has a real great line-up this year. The addition of the Ibanez RGDRB71-BKF does it for me. I wish they would do an indonesian Iceman in 6 string or baritone 6 at this point.
What an awesome place to visit this could be!😎 Thanks for showing us some of the new Ibanez stuff, dear Henning! 👍 (And what an opportunity Ibanez missed, when they left that boring nature spruce top on that particular acoustic you showed, without painting it fully blue... 😒) Though I'm terribly upset, that again this year, not a single green instrument from Ibanez. 😟(Nothing from the other brands either.) Seems for nowadays the green color totally disappeared from the market due some really really strange reason...😕😢
While I agree with the locking tuners argument, I personally don’t have a problem with non-locking tuners. But you can bet I’m gonna put them in some guitars and use them though lol small bonus, but still a bonus
Henning said, I want that PIA for the video and Ibanez said nope. So he said pick a color! And now we have a video about just the blue ones. Fair enough I guess, I only care for the blue ones anyway. :D
One of my favorite guitars is blue. Coincidence? Maybe. Or maybe there is something to it. You people thinking tonewood is a thing didn't see the elephant in the room. It's the color that has the real tone, sillies!!!
Remember that many of us who view your content have to pay for our guitars, not everyone has guitars offered like you! Locking tuners will make the guitar more expensive and if the guitar has a locking nut you don't need locking tuners just because it's more practical to change strings. It's the price that the poor have to pay, taking longer to change strings and saving a few euros. But congratulations on the content anyway.
Locking tuners really should only add a few dollars… it’s not so bad that they shouldn’t be on there. The difference in production is much smaller than you think.
Ibanez used to make nice looking instruments in the early 2000s, but in the last years it's been hideous. Also, still using those Fishmans? I thought everyone figured out by now that those actually suck, haha.
@@Burnt_Gerbil You have probably, bright, vintagey, a little gritty sound to it if I am not mistaken. Did I describe your tone well, due to it being white? It sounds bright but not too harsh, vintage tone.

Except FR guitars, I'd rather they spend the money to ditch cheap FRs.

Blue me away and filled my blue hole
It was such a pleasure to meet you, great video! :)
I agree! Blue is better! 🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻
Me too
At this point, I'm here for the hoodies and commons sense. Long may it continue. x
It looks like you guys had a lot of fun there 😂 Great vibes. This new standard looks interesting. Maybe I will get one ;)

A white RG with blue hardware and blue pickup covers would be awesome.
OH YES, that would be awesome
Ok so what's that "blue" one at 3:00 ??
Green AZ ❤❤❤❤
Blue is the best tone color by far, this is known!

That blue BTB with the Nordstrands 😍
(Ibanez, if someone is listening: pls bring back 4 string BTBs with 35" (or multiscale) 👉👈 )
YES!!!!
your locking tuner comment is so true!!! I will buy the rg565reb and replace the tuners to gotoh locking.
Fishman Bluence 💙👍🏻

04:28 He is 💯 PERCENT Correct. I replace all my guitars with Locking tuners because it make string changes WAY easier 🙂
Ah, My Fav guitar teacher from Wetzlar, its been a while ;))
We need to bully Ibanez to make a Genesis RG1570 Series, similar priced & spec'd to the RG550 & 565 Series.
And of course in BLUE!
Great video, thanks.
Looking forward to the new MARSHALL video!! 😇
Henning in 2026: F*ck Blue, Green is the new best sounding Wood hahahahh
I'm totally happy with my locking nut j custom tbh but you're allowed to also have your preference I guess.
Don't mess with my friend CARLOS! XD If he says that something is green, IS GREEN! XD
Great guitars in a very contemporary color, especially since the "x talk" yesterday. ;)
Sorry Henning, but Carlos was right, it was green 💚 , also the drums were green...
😉 and dark green sounds best....😂
come here and SAY THAT TO MY FACE !!!! I dare ya!
Bit *what* blue is best? Solid, transparent, metallic?
We need to know.
I’m going to buy an Ibanez because they support the Blue. I love the RG565R they just released.
All hail Henning for fighting the good fight for us to change strings faster and easier.

there is a green AZ Prestige... looks good... check my Short from today!
@@EytschPi42 excuse me, is there a particular reason why my response to you has been deleted from here? 😔
Henning you're the greatest😂
I once ate a Chicken Salad sandwich with white cheddar cheese and washed it down with a blue fruit drink and my poo came out Crayola Green, not Blue.
good to know!
Same thing happened when I ate blue sugar cookies from Walmart.
It's Ibanezezezezez day! 🤘😍 whoop whoop! (Carlos needs to get his eyes checked 🤣)

Sh*t, lots of nice stuff, love blue color and Ibanez axes, and I’m getting 40yo this year, everything just points to an upcoming new-guitar-day 😂
I prefer non-locking tuners with locking nuts because I use the ball ends at the tuner...
Everybody in my band has at least one blue guitar. Our lead singer/songwriter even has a blue Ukelele. (a Bluke!)
:)
That's just so fucking right IT IS ABOUT STRING CHANGE CONVINIENCE!!! keep on pushing!!! xD
if only they used the 460 orange for a Genesis model. I'll buy it in a second. Damn!

Fair enough I guess, I only care for the blue ones anyway. :D
Why do you always pick the wrong red colours
You said blue sounds better, lol, i knew you could hear colors! 🤣 🤘
They forgot the dots on the fret board
blue sounds better, YES ! :D
Locking Nut: Learn about it, my homie
doesn't matter.
I love how he can go into the Ibanez shop and talk crap to their faces 😂 don't listen to that psychopath, that first guitar was DEFINITELY blue!

I heard in Japan blue and green are the same word. That might lead to the confusion.
Dude you should wear a Minions sweater!
I have one
3:59 none more blue
It's green, it just looks blue because of the edges.
Da ba di da ba die. I need it
Let's not talk about holes in instruments and their usage. Please. 🤪
But I agree. Blue is better. At least more beautiful. 😁

What no Tiger Purple Ibanez guitars like mine ,Well they didnt offer it in blue so there ya go lol
What model is the blue one with the blue fishmans and trem??? You didn’t say or I missed it.
Edit: It’s the RGR6BSP and it’s sick!!!
Itd too bad the blue rg with blue hardware isnt svailable in North America that i could find :(
It's a shame Ibanez avoids matching colors wherever possible.

Blue blue blue NOT one guitar made in Japan.
