You should try Kraft Real Mayonnaise, it’s awesome! It’s my fav of all the mayo’s I’ve tried, including Hellman’s, Heinz, and Kewpie 🤩.
I can't eat a roast/Sunday dinner without mayonnaise, sounds nasty but tastes amazing.
If you put mayo in your mash potatoes it makes it even creamier trust me.

@@Sam4G0d I’ve heard Kraft Mayo is really good, it’s an American brand maybe include that one in the next mayo test. Oh and since you’re going to Austria, buy their mayo (it is amazing, I used to live there and Austrian mayo is delicious!)
American Kraft mayonaise. I prefer the sour taste above the more sweet European ones (well, Dutch mayo anyway).

So sad you couldn't taste calvé. It's one of the better Dutch mayos. Zaanse mayo is also a good one to try. It's my favorite mayonaise. Cool video tho 👍😊

Squeeze bottle Helman's is inferior to the one in a jar. They are made to completely different recipes
Calvé isn't Italian, it's Dutch. And in The Netherlands and Belgium we have Mayonaise and Frietsaus. They're family, but not the same. Mayonaise is much thicker, has a lot more fat and has a richer flavor. While frietsaus is more "healthy" and a lot sweeter.
Gutted I didn’t get to try the Dutch Mayo! Hopefully will get to at some point. Yeah, I like the whole fries sauce idea 👌🏼 though standard mayonnaise will always have my heart ☺️

Not sure where you live Sam but close to London you can go to Uxbridge or opposite Canada Water station there is a Dutch foodtruck with real Dutch fries AND Mayo! (Oh and chocomel ;-))

Heinz is known to be one of the worst mayonnaise.
Could you do a seafood boil but English style with the thousand island sauce etc.
As a sidenote, since it's mayonnaise in French, but mayonaise in Dutch it's often spelled Mayon(n)aise in the Benelux. :)
Fun fact (in my opinion anyway) Heinz mayonnaise In the squirty bottle is different to the Heinz mayonnaise in the sachet....trust me I'm a heinz bottle girl myself.

Oh. Yes. We're so nuts about mayonaise in Benelux, we also have fritessaus. And lettucesauce. Which is all like mayo, but see the rules in my other response and that's why it's not.
Lettucesauce? Anything to make me eat lettuce without moaning, then I'm down for it.
More important trivia. Dutch mayonaise: >70 % fat & > 5 % eggyolk, Belgian mayonnaise: >80 % fat & >7.5 % eggyolk. In other words, Dutch mayo can be healthier, Belgian can't. :)

I approve of the video but you lost all credibility when you said heinz is top, for me its the worst. Each to their own eh, you can get a mayo now with avocado, thats pretty good. The brand is foraging fox, worth a try. I definitely want to give the belgian one a go though
Their are actually two different types of Heinz mayo.
You get the one in the tub which I find the best then the ones in the sachets which is completely different for some unknown reason.

Frites sauce from D&L is more like the mayo in the Netherlands. Its sweeter. In the Netherlands they add sugar when they make mayo 😂🙈

Miracle whip isn't real mayonnaise. It's a substitute.
@@nikitaliutarevich Correct. Miracle whip was developed during the Great Depression in the United States as a less expensive alternative to actual mayo. I find it too sweet and light-bodied.
