Sydney Motorsport Park - "The Home of Australian Motorsport"

Here's an F1 onboard lap at the Sydney Motorsport Park, also known as Eastern Creek International Raceway until 2012. Located on the Eastern Creek suburb of Sydney, this circuit has multiple layouts and is certified with an FIA Grade 2 license. This 3.910 km layout is called the "Gardner Grand Prix Circuit", I tried out the longer (4.5km) "Brabham Extended Circuit" layout, but I was not a fan, as it reminded me of the Bahrain Endurance layout extra bit which was not great.
This Formula 1 hotlap is driven in Assetto Corsa with Oscar Piastri in the F1 2023 McLaren MCL60.

Great lap !! I see a good potential in this track, if renovated and expanded to 5km or a little more, to be able to receive the F1. A few years ago there were rumors that Sydney would like to compete with Melbourne to host the Australian Grand Prix. This track might be a better option than a new street circuit.

There's a longer (better) layout of this track which I personally prefer but Mitsos doesn't like it. Either way this could easily hold a pretty compelling F1 race if the facilities were upgraded.

I remember this track!! I used to play it on an unrealistic bike game called Moto Racing 3 on my uncle's computer, I thought I doesn't exist, but I'm glad to know that it does and that I saw it again 😍🤩

That's Eastern Creek? We can drive in TOCA Race Driver 2 and 3 with V8 Supercars. Sorry, Kazakhstan's Sokol wasn't ready?

It was formerly called Eastern Creek. Was changed to Sydney Motorsport Park a few years ago. But exact same layout. Personally myself I still refer to it as Eastern Creek and I’m sure it not alone that but it’s no longer it’s official name

there’s a more technical section around sector 2 that i think they could open up to extend track length, as long as it gets upgraded to grade 1 specs it can definitely host some good F1 racing. just unfortunate that it’s a bit further west of town (compared to melbourne and adelaide; forget sydney this track is further from even blacktown than albert park and victoria park is to their own city centres)

Please do The Bend Motorsport Park GT Circuit layout next. It's Australia's newest circuit (FIA Grade 2) and hosts a lot of competition and the GT layout puts it at one of the longest permanent racing tracks.
