- Sydney Tramway Museum presents 'Shooting Through!'
Memories of the great days of trams in Sydney and Newcastle.
Additional material was added when the original videotape production was transferred to DVD in 2012. However, the production was not remastered so the DVD is videotape quality.
So the production is 16 and 8mm film transferred to video - analogue edited and then later the videotape was transferred to DVD format.

i'm glad we kept our trams in melbourne, they are better than buses !!!
What about the prison tram at the Museum ? Unique - even if Darcy Dugan did manage to escape from one trip.
Unfortunately it appears no film footage ever existed of the Prison tram in operation. Which is why it's not included here.
@@SydneyTramwayMuseum Thanks for the background. It certainly looks a very grim containment tram. How did it end up at the Museum, then ? Especially, what happened to it after the trams were stopped in 1961 ?

Sad to watch the burning who’s idea was to do it
Back then burning was considered a viable method of recycling - burn the body and rake the metal parts out of the ashes and sell to the scrap metal merchant. The Variotrams were scrapped by shredding. A giant machine that can eat a bus whole.

@@greghills4443 They also got rid of weeds the same way, with fire - so they built a trailer with gas-powered jets and burned the weeds away.
