In BC, a fella doesn't have to say much about one saw or another in a bar before a fight breaks out!! People are fiercely loyal to their brands and from what I've seen, it's the same fight that takes place between owners of Ford trucks and Chevy, and the fights that happen in restaurants between the pronunciation of TomAto and TomatO. Lots of chair throwing and cussing and spilled beer and smashed-in faces! Senseless fighting it is....but fun to watch! Huskies and Stihls are both wonderful saws and I've owned them both but have leaned more towards Stihl. No reason for siding with the Stihl really, just that was what was available for the right price when I bought them (only one ever bought new and the rest second or third hand). Great video. Kenny but remember, never talk saws in the bar !! (or tomatoes in a restaurant!). Be safe out there!

Hey there Kenny, another fine video my friend. Living in the city I don't have much use for a chainsaw but have had several over the years. Being a Mechanic there is something I learned many years ago. That is to "purchase quality equipment". Paying a little extra in the beginning pays off when you are working on a big job that you need to finish in a timely manner. Being miles back in the woods would surely be a pain with a saw that wouldn't start or perform well. Good decision. Keep the videos going.
It cut through that wood like butter🪚 Making me jealous, lol😁 I have to sharpen my 4 inch electric chain saw tomorrow and I see your chainsaw and now I'm sad☹
Good vid, Kenny. I don't think the little saws get enough credit. I used my dads og husky 45 he bought new until a year ago. It cut 4+ cords a year for over 40 years. It's worn out, and parts are a bear to find.
Good evening Kenny - My first saw was a Husky. All the RUclipsrs were strong Stihl guys, so I bought one Stihl. I was not a fan because the start stop switch in backwards in my opinion. All of by subsequent saw purchases have been Husky. JMO - Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
Good morning Kenny, The 545 is a nice looking saw. The newer saws have some nice features that my Husqvarna doesn't have and the specs say it is almost 2 lbs lighter than mine. I have had my 455 Rancher for about 15 years and I treat it terribly but it still runs like new. Question, I am curious about the zip tie on the handle , have a great week, Ben 👋😎👍🍻
@whenworkisplay everyone I know with the rancher says the saws are great. The 545 is a comfortable weight, plus a good balance with an 18" bar. The zip tie is set for length at 16" off the bar. I just have it turned in out of the way.
@whenworkisplay it works pretty well. I can judge it on my own most times. But as the rounds get bigger, they throw me off, and I end up cutting them too long for my stove.
Gosh Dang! Did I understand that correctly? The Husqvarna stuff is more expensive in your neck of the woods? Have you figured of if you can run that 261 yet? I love my 545!
How's she goin'? I had a Husky 455 Rancher and thought it was the best saw I ever had. Then, after Fiona, the Husky wouldn't start so I bought a MS 250 Stihl and I really like it too.
