the story of a ruthless snake oiler who walked very stupidly and drowned bandits in bathtubs as she went. Rose never really cared for justice or law and Sneaky was her middle name
The story of a honorable snake oiler who walked stupidly, brung peace to the cultists in buffalo pile, destroyed the necromancer, made Dirtwater great again and singlehandedly helped the Perfessor. His name was.. The Protagonist. With sneaky as his middle name.
A comedy western drawn like a cartoon that folows the basic plot of the game and a spinoff series murder mystery at gun manor with all that same humor as the main serries
lonely rider with his horse riding into the sunset he doesn't know where to but he doesn't care. the only things he needs is his rusty old revolver and his trusty horse pal Finn. (And of course a good old glass of cactus beer)
The game was fantastic! And holy crap, this soundtrack just doesn't get out of my head. Such amazing songs, that just improve the gameplay to something truly special. Amazing work!
well, its meant to be the song you hear when you're just out and about, before a fight, so it makes sense that it would tie into the fight music nicely.
The story of Tuck Shuckleford, a bean slinger that refused violence whenever possible.. But given that he got his entire wardrobe out of spittoons, you might want to avoid him regardless.
It's been about 2 years since this game was released, and i still go back to playing it once in awhile. Something about the artstyle, the mechanics, the characters just work so well together. And the fact that the game literally doesn't even _try_ to take itself seriously is just the cherry on top. Couple that with the soundtrack that just has no right to be as good as it is. Still is one of my favorite games, and always will be.
I'm writing a fan fic that features all three classes as separate characters and they're bringing all of the horses and partners for an epic adventure as they ride westward. ^_^ I love listening to this theme for inspiration and getting the right headspace while I write.
@@SirYeetcom Glad to know that someone's interested. I have the entire Boring Springs part written down but I have to post it as separate chapters because it went longer than I anticipated. I posted some of them on Deviant Art, but it's such an obscure game that it hasn't gotten any attention, and I need feedback from other people who've played the game.
@@Aqua311 Some of my advice would be: A- Give the classes horses to suit them ( eg Snake Oiler dark horse, Beanslinger ghost horse) B- They are each others companions. Basically, don't use the NPC companions that are available in game, except for possibly Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo Bill
@@SirYeetcom But I want to use the companions! They just have to double up on each horse. XD Speaking of which: A friend suggested naming the horses after the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and it just seemed too interesting to pass up. I did give the ghost horse, aka Death, to the Beanslinger. I went with giving the dark horse to the Cow Puncher. They may have differences when it comes to fighting, but the Cow Puncher is also a determined survivalist and his cautious nature will work well with "Famine's" paranoia. The crazy horse, aka War, will be taken by the Snake Oiler, who happens to be a little nuts herself, some people have said. ;) Plus, I recently learned that in Kingdom of Loathing, the crazy horse gives random buffs through "various" means, so the Snake Oiler would be more than interested in testing the unusual properties of this wacko equine. In time, I want to have Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo Bill and Gary riding the normal horse together. It's a lovely touch of irony that the two non-humans are the ones riding the bland white horse... of course nobody can agree on his name. It's either Conquest or Pestilence.
I got this OST from Steam (gotta support it, when it's this awesome), and I'm listening to this one in particular in headphones when I'm outside these days. :D Love it...
This Sound Track is F-ing AWESOME !! - My friend got me the game for Christmas (on Steam), and about 15 minutes into the game . . . . . . I "HAD" to have the soundtrack, and a few minutes latter, (I paid a few bucks), and BOOM ! - Now it's in my phone... .... as my Rngtone, as my Alarm, ect. ect. - The WHOLE soundtrack is AWESOME, but the main theme KICKS-A$$ !! - By far the tunes were worth WAY more than I paid. - If you enjoy the game, I strongly suggest you pay a few bucks, (support the artist), and download the WHOLE album . . . . . . Trust me, your ears will be happy !! ♥️ 😎👍
You made me, a cheapskate, buy copies of this game for me and some of my friends, not an easy accomplishment, well played. (can't wait for the next game.)
The tale of Jiminy Grasshopper, the fast-fingered snake oiler with a heart of gold and a mouth full of silver, headin' out west on his crazy horse named Ballmuncher, ridin' with his trustworthy pardner Gary. He left home at a young age to help those in need, on his journey conquering the ruthless desert, accidentally saving the world, connecting Frisco to the rail system saving countless lives, learning a little necromancy, single-handedly putting the town of Breadwood back on the map, and picking a ton of locks. Also killing a bunch of those damned cows. Idea nicked from '@mango4554'
there once was the tale of a cow puncher, who didnt use his fists all that often and only killed a couple of cows. alice was just the skeleton killer so this duo was not very interesting.
I've only got kind of a sampling of the soundtrack up right now, but you can listen (for free) on the album's Bandcamp page! ryanike.bandcamp.com/album/west-of-loathing-original-game-soundtrack
i love this game and i've been trying to find tabs of the soundtrack music but it's nowhere online, would you be willing to share that info w the world?
Who would have thought that stupid walks would be accompanied by such epic music?
the story of a ruthless snake oiler who walked very stupidly and drowned bandits in bathtubs as she went. Rose never really cared for justice or law and Sneaky was her middle name
I'd like for the memes but u have a roblox profile pic
The story of a passionate snake oiler who had a stroke that made him walk funny, he cared for justice and kindness
His name was Lester, ...Moe Lester
The story of a honorable snake oiler who walked stupidly, brung peace to the cultists in buffalo pile, destroyed the necromancer, made Dirtwater great again and singlehandedly helped the Perfessor. His name was.. The Protagonist. With sneaky as his middle name.
Ha, i killed everyone and the nicest thing i did was murder a yeast monster.
A story to be repeated but instead in void of clear judgement and intelligence would search every spittoon available.
This theme just keeps on giving
The perfect music for my stupid walks.
*pulls myself along the ground with my face*
P.S. Some of them arent even walks, really.
*(Kazotsky kicks while moving intensifies)*
**rolling a round at the speed of tumbleweed**
*when the silliest game this side of the atlantic has the most epic western soundtrack in the world*
Am I the only one who thinks that west of loathing would make a really good animated series or TV show?
A comedy western drawn like a cartoon that folows the basic plot of the game and a spinoff series murder mystery at gun manor with all that same humor as the main serries
Would definitely have a lot of grossout humor
Sounds like something Adult Swim would make.
I'm working on a serious fan fic of the game. Something tells me that it'll be novel-length or a series of books.
@@Aqua311 Oh, Id love to read that when its done!
This soundtrack really deserves all of the views and likes. It's been stuck in my head for like, two weeks.
Easily one of the most underrated themes of all time here.
This is a game I wish I could experience for the first time again
lonely rider with his horse riding into the sunset he doesn't know where to but he doesn't care. the only things he needs is his rusty old revolver and his trusty horse pal Finn. (And of course a good old glass of cactus beer)
And don't forget all the stuff he gets from the spittoons, as well as the stupid walks
and of course, his trusty pal Gary the Goblin
Don't forget the briefcase filled to the brim with various types of snakes
you are one gifted individual Ryan :)
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
All of these are just amazing, if only there were more than 6 tracks. Worth every penny for the game B)
The Bartender thanks! And the full soundtrack has a lot more than 6 tracks, that's just all I've posted here. : )
You mean worth every Meat
True but you know what would make it even better. A good old cold glass of cactus beer and some beens.
The game was fantastic!

Amazing work!
Using this soundtrack to play Fallout New Vegas. Thanks man!
Oooo. Good idea.....
And every time you enter VATS, "Draw!" starts playing.
Stupid walking. Stupid walking never changes.
Thats funny, I bought both games on the summer sale at the same time
omg i did the same thing
Such a glorious bit of music. Worthy of the finest of spaghetti, western or otherwise.
every now and then i feel like the song will break out into Draw! does anyone else feel that way or is it just me???
That just means it perfectly captures the vibe

Feelin the epicness while venturing the west, good job on creating such a wonderful track!!!
I just realized I have a thing for cowboy- type of games after I completed this game, especially if there's a dank music like this
Hopefully u have experienced the greatness of Rdr2 then...

I hear a very faint humming.
Very nice touch.

why is the music on this game so good, like, it's a goofy game but the music is just amazing, great work! ryan ike and chelsea greenwood!
4 minutes of AWESOMENESS
simply amazing, it gives the wild west adventure vibe and a kind of solitary quest theme at the same time, simply amazing, you are doing great

The story of the young Edwin Sandwalker, his jaded pardner, Doc Alice, and their fight against the evils of the West.

What's the name of the song that the Kurtzfitz people were dancing to? The one that also plays in the secret room of the Shroomcave?
Misbehave (in this cave) I think

I whistle this in the shower still to this day.
There once was a fine cowboy named mumflr fumperdink he walked very stupid and had a very crazy horse
I can't tell if that string instrument is a banjo or a guitar
I believe it's a steel guitar, which has that characteristic "twang."
I like the other tracks, too. Can you upload the rest of the tracks to RUclips and Soundcloud?

this doesn't help me
Are you a Cow Puncher, a Beanslinger, or a Snake Oiler? Normally in most games I go bruiser, but I think here the Beanslinger is my favorite.
I think the Beanslinger seriously needs balancing. It's the only class with an ASSURED area attack. (Great Northern Bean)
I find that us snake oilers and our potions are also OP. fan the hammer with high moxie kills anything
Cowpuncher also has a move like that, (Bull Stomp
Wanted for protaginizing

Was hoping that that song that the hippies were listening to would be on the soundtrack. :/
Yes I am a snake oiler
I’m here after seeing a blade murder anime girl reviewing cad bane
gotta love a good
