Intriguing place, it’s very tranquil and isolated. A favourite spot to rest and give the doggo some water on our walks. The path you took gets very waterlogged and muddy during winter so we only go there on summer circuits of the heath. I have to confess that I have never had the courage to go inside though…. The little holes were to allow air into the burial vaults to help decomposition ( or so I read anyway ) … thanks for another interesting visit 😊
