I agree with your comments about this bike family - they are totally all-purpose bikes, capable of serving on the road and also on light gravel/off-road as long as it's dry. I wouldn't take the bike with its 28mm tires anywhere off-road in the wet, as there's absolutely no grip in the mud. I was considering switching to the 35 mm tires last week when I did the 7000km tire change, but decided to stick with the 28s as I'm on-road most of the time... Thanks for your review - though I already have a bike in the same family, it's good to know that I chose well

I was looking forward to buying a bike (on a low single budget). I used to ride a lot 30 years ago and on rental bikes to work in the summers before the pandemic but haven't had a modern bike in 15 years (and it was a used bike). Things have changed and this was very useful. I will probably go for the 120 instead of the 500 too. I am not much of a mechanic though, so I was hoping to make it through the next few years without many upgrades. Your English is great!

I do only road biking and have an old Mountain bike that I have changed the cassette and rear derrailleur (now Shimano Acera) and installed Shimano trigger-shift and new Tektro M530 brake calipers and Koolstop dual-compound pads. Works well enough for now.

I LIKE WHAT YOU DID WITH THIS BIKE !! l bet it works just fine with the 1x ,wider bars (which l also have) and l like upper brake lever which l might also do for my bike :) But mine is an old miyata 1984 steel bike at 12kg ,its great for long distance rides :)
Hi, actually I think that it can accommodate tyres up to 38c. I fitted a pair of Vittoria Adventure 700x37 and there was some space left. Ofc the size depends from the brand of the tyre. Cheers

Thanks! Unfortunately I don't have it anymore because I prefer to have more space on the handlebar. Tecnically it's not difficult to install, you have just to cut the front brake hose and put the lever in between the two pieces. In any case, if you're not sure about what to do, you should go to a professional bike mechanic. It's better don't risk with brakes!

Hi, thanks. I bought the bags on Amazon, Decathlon and even LIDL many years ago. There is a saddle bad, frame bag and a handlebar bag. You have to test which set up is best for you. Good luck with your adventure 💪💪

I codici non li ho a portata di mano, quindi intanto ti elenco i componenti che ho usato: -Leve sram rival 22v (22 velocità perché le avevo già da un'altra bici) -movimento centrale sram GXP, filettatura inglese -guarnitura sram apex da 42 denti, GXP e 175 mm di pedivella -deragliatore posteriore sram apex gabbia lunga -pacco pignoni della Sunrace, 11 velocità, 11-42 denti -catena o sram pc1130 o la kmc x11el Spero di esserti stato utile
Diego this is the best video one can find on youtube for the upgrades to triban series. Highly appreciate it, and you have done some good upgrades. I have recently bought RC100, and am unhappy with the gear shifting. Do you recommend upgrading to SRAM APEX 2 x 10 or any other groupset and since triban 100 comes with 1 x 7, is it possible to upgrade to a 2 x 10? Also what crank length do you recommend and you use, as my height is similar to yours. Finally, is it worth to change from steel to carbon fork, and any recommendations there? Would appreciate your response. I bought this bike coz I want to upgrade things over time as a project. Would appreciate any recommendations you can offer.
Thanks for the compliment. What do you mostly use you bike for? As a road bike or as a gravel? You could consider a 1x11 apex, just like my bike. For the fork as well, it depends on the use of the bike. I'm 181 cm tall and I use a 175mm crankset.

I got the bike 2 days back after watching your video initially and seeing that it can be upgraded and as the geometry is really comfortable for new riders. I am New to biking and want to take it as a project to upgrade over the year. In short. I will be road and city user, might go up small hills nearby probably once a year but a hilly road area and not gravel. Any other recommendations you have will be highly appreciated, including any other groupset from shimano or sram that you feel will go well. Thanks in advance.
@@luvkumar3175 ok, decide if you want a single chainring or a double chainring in the front and than upgrade the groupset. You can fit the sram apex or the Shimano sora or shimano tiagra. A carbon fork usually it's expensive, upgrade first the groupset and than think about the fork.

Thanks, but it' not yet completed ;) It's a 42T, the standard that came with the APEX crankset.

The chain will come off from the Crank when you hit potholes on a high speed.
That’s a dedicated 1x crankset that has anti-drop teeth, not a normal chainring.
