Mercedes-Benz Museum - World's highest artificial Tornado

- The 34.4-metre-high artificial tornado serves to eliminate smoke from the museum in the event of a fire.
The architecture of the Mercedes-Benz Museum placed particular demands on construction planners, architects and engineers with regard to smoke elimination. The provisions of the approving authority and fire protection regulations require all areas outside the fire level to be smoke-free in the event of smoke emission. However, due to the open-plan structure of the Mercedes-Benz Museum, the various exhibition areas are connected to each other without any fire zones via an interior courtyard and ramps. From the perspective of smoke elimination this presented a challenging task that could not be implemented through conventional fluid mechanics.
It was necessary to take a new approach, and so a globally unique smoke elimination system was developed especially for the Mercedes-Benz Museum. In the event of fire, 144 outlets located along the core walls inject air into the interior courtyard of the Mercedes-Benz Museum. This generates an artificial tornado, and the smoke collected is then discharged into the outside air via a smoke elimination ventilator located in the upper part of the building.
This procedure uses the principle of the tornado force, which has a devastating effect under natural conditions, to create a controlled life-saving form of fluid mechanics that opens up new architectural possibilities.

Wow just wow, after this video I've lost all faith in humanity. While one man struggles to escape the mighty tempest, hundreds of people just mere feet away watch and even video him on their phones rather than help! Tf is wrong with you people!? While one guy is drowning and saving everyone by marking the tornado to make it visible and give you all a chance to escape, you just film him dying. smh.
Dude, I don't think that artificial tornado is even strong enough to lift him high into the air. That thing looks just about as strong as a dust devil which would as move him around and slightly pick him up for a few meters, but not much else. In the first place if you do some research this the Mercedes-Benz company had an engineering problem with no smoke extractor, including fluid-related mechanisms, being able to ventilate smoke. So they created this mini-tornado to suck in the smoke and release it outside. This is almost genius since it doubles as an attraction! This thing would more likely not be strong enough to actually hurt anyone, but will be able to shove them around or _maybe_ lift them for a few seconds at strongest. The guests to the museum are trying to film this cool artificial tornado, not someone getting killed because no one would film a person dying or dead person for views (except Logan Paul). And the irony of the statement of you stating that humanity is failing because of this.. scientists are making concept designs and builds of controlled tornados used to power wind turbine generators, and we need to think of renewable resources to end global warming and the other harmful effects of petroleum energy, as this is one of the many actual ways humanity Is failing. If mankind can do this, with that small of a machine, who’s to say, there’s not a much bigger one somewhere, making regular sized tornadoes? Because of mankind manipulating the weather, it’s going to be hard to tell the difference between if it’s God doing something or mankindusing their technology.
