I agree about the color. I prefer a silver/black contrast balance rather than solid black or solid metal looking hilt. A little weathering would add some character to the hilt. Gonna have to get some scratch and dent bags at some time to test my luck.
I agree. I would definitely weather this one if I was going to keep it. They just dropped more SnD Friday or Saturday. I got the notification and ordered on auto pilot while my wife was talking to me about something. I got the order confirmation email and was like, how did that happen.
Another cool video. Love the pommel and claw look to the saber. Very dark side saber looking. Pretty good almost complete saber from a scratch and dent bag/box. Good if you know what to do with internal work. Overall nice saber you have fixed up. I personally like the colour.

I think if you listen carefully you can often tell which southern state someone is from by listening to them talk. You could probably do that with New England states too.

Saberforge states on their site that ecos are not plug n' play compatible. That's due to the eco sabers being loaded with Chinese LGT electronics smaller 1" diameter and all the other hilts done by Saberforge 1.10" diameter.
Yeah, I knew that current and the last generation eco saber were not plug and play compatable. I looked inside this saber and there was a black wire and a red wire on that small white connector. Just barely had enough wire to solder to after I cut off that connector.

Thanks. The eco line is the SF budget tier of sabers. I think they started as a budget sound saber back when a lot of budget saber shoppers would get a stunt to save money. It seems like there used to be a bigger quality disparity between the eco sabers and the rest of them but that feels like that's changing. Especially now that you can drop a LGT core in the current generation of eco sabers. Especially if you already have a LGT Proffie or GHv3 core.

Me too, I'm definitely on a SF kick right now. I want a Sabertrio and several others. I go through trends I guess. The SnD and all of the updates really has me digging SF, but I am not liking the problems with the thread in led lately. I just got my Fury mk2 and they said they would ship me a v3 thread in blade when they dropped. New saber that I haven't lit up yet, I'm a little disappointed.
It's really nice, but it hasn't taken the top spot of my favorite lightsaber, the silver and gold solstice. It also looks like it has another emitter on the bottom

No and yes. This saber is older and CD definitely offers more features for less money. The new eco sabers offer similar features but I think the core is inferior to Crimson Dawn but some of the hilts are more detailed. The Fallen Order Eco saber is my favorite eco hilt. The really good thing about the current Eco sabers is that if you have a neoplixel CD you can swap to cores. I did a video about doing just that. I know have a CD Proffie core in my Fallen Eco. Love it!
Yes, but that largely depends on budget too. Most of us are budget conscious when we first get started. I might recommend a LGT saber to start. I have been really liking the direction SF has been going, I love the more recent spirit of improvement they have had in the last year. Might want to steer clear if the thread in led blade sabers until that debacle gets worked out. Finding a LGT reseller you like is a great choice for a first saber. My personal preference for LGT resellers is Crimson Dawn, but most I'll of them are great. LGT gives you a solid saber full of electronic features that won't break the bank.
