Please tell me what the weather in late September is? I will be on a 2 week trip and explore the North and South Island. I can't decide what clothes to bring as I am from the tropical country. All I have in my closet are clothes for the year-round summer here😅. Thank you in anticipation.

Late September in New Zealand is the start of spring, so the weather can be quite variable. On the North Island, you can expect mild temperatures ranging from 10°C to 18°C (50°F to 64°F), while the South Island will be cooler, with temperatures ranging from 5°C to 15°C (41°F to 59°F). You might encounter some chilly mornings and evenings, especially in the South Island, and there's always a chance of rain, so layers are key!
Since you're coming from a tropical country, you'll want to pack some warmer clothing like a good jacket, sweaters, and long pants. Don’t forget a waterproof jacket, as spring can bring unexpected showers.
