One thing I will add. If you walk across the Rainbow Bridge, when you are coming from the Canadian side to the USA, there is a $1 toll. It is a turn style machine that only takes coin. They have machines to change cash to coin, but it does not take cards. I was there in September 2022 and had no cash or change. I had to go to the exchange store to get money to get back to the American side. I will also say that the Canadian side offers the best view of the falls, but the atmosphere around the falls is nicer on the American side as they have built a state park around the falls. The Canadian side is more commercial.
Thanx so much for this amazing and informative video! A real pleasure to watch. Its great you also show the places to stay around or near the falls on both sides! I am from Europe and will visiting in december this year. This video already made me smile and plan and organize some amazing experiences in advance already! Thank you again for your great content!
Tip for Skylon rotating restaurant: book your table for 30 minutes before sunset. You sit down to a great view of both falls, by the end of the meal an hour later, you come back to the Falls under the lights.
Brandon, the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side are much more majestic than the American Falls. I first visited in 1983 when Dragon Mountain at Marineland had first opened. My family also did a water slide complex that year that you would almost slide right out and over the halfpipe slide, I had one leg go over the edge on a hairpin turn...it scared the crap out of this daredevil!
gr8 video! Love this channel & these type of videos! Keep em' coming! Would love to see a Virginia tour video with the best attractions in the area aside from BGW
Went here during the summer to see both sides. Amazing place to see and I totally agree saying the Canadian side has better views than the US. But I also agree that you should still explore the US side for Cave of the Winds, the Observation Tower, and Terrapin Point. One thing to add though, we stayed at the Embassy Suites on the Canadian side and even though it has a 3.7 rating on Google, the views were great from our room and the room was clean. Also the staff were nice. Was a bit crowded during breakfast, but it was free, which is a bonus. Otherwise, another great video Brandon 👍
Hey Great information. Some I know and done. I'm heading there today for 2 days! I will try some of those you mentioned I will be on the Canada side .. nyc to n f
I went to Niagara Falls, Canada for Thanksgiving a few yrs back. The weather wasnt that bad. Only thing is The Maid of the Mist only operates until Oct 31, however The Hornblower on the Canadian side operates until Nov 30. The hotel prices are much cheaper and the crowds are much smaller. The state park on the American side is very nice. Great views of the top Horseshoe Falls. Parking was $10 USD.
As a Niagara Falls area local, I always recommend that visitors make the short drive to the towns of Niagara-on-the-Lake (Canada) and Lewiston (New York). Both are quaint, historic, spotless, and offer many restaurants and shops. Plus, it's nice to get away from the hoards of Niagara Falls tourist for a while.
Thanks for tips and video.. looks really helpful. Am planning to visit in this month.. Edit: Thanks for the vlog.. I have visited Niagara last weekend and tried the most of the things mentioned in the video.. it is really helpful..
I am planning a trip from Chicago to Niagara Falls and I am likely to take the train. The return train seems to late evening so would there be enough time to visit these places? Please share any suggestions/recommendations.
I am doing this in a few weeks. Will take the all night Amtrak train from Chicago to Buffalo in a roomette sleeper room. Staying for one, very long, ~ 16 hr day. Returning on the 12:30 AM Amtrak in coach. Hoping I wear myself out so much walking around for miles and hours that I’ll get some sleep. 🤞🤞
Another thing you should know about the Niagara Falls, Harriet Tubman was the first to survive a barrel ride into the falls, and she did multiple times!
@@briana009 A lifetime ago, my Canadian sidekick went to a fighter Pilot / Astronaut autograph convention. The guest of honor was introduced as being in the "most exclusive club on Earth." One of only twelve people who have walked on the Moon. My buddy blurted out, "Only eleven men have gone over Niagra Falls in a barrel, and the first one of them was a woman!!" Now the numbers have finally changed in NASA's favor...

There were so many Indians there when we were there a few weeks ago ,,, you’d think you are in India ! What happens to the Canadians ? I only saw a handful
I'm quite a way down a rabbit hole here. LMAO I've been feeling Nostalgic from the days of going here in my childhood. Now the only time I go to the falls is to Play with the band at Big Texas Niagara. If I ever get a gf again, I'll do the hole week there with her and play Friday-Saturday night at the club.. You know. make a bit of $$ back 😅😅
I just got back from a trip to NF. While the Maid trip was fun and interesting, the rest of the trip was awful. Overpriced parking and overcrowded. Crappy hotels and restaurants. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
If you plan to stick around the falls, there are reddi bikes available and many things walking distance but if you are here longer than couple of days, a car will allow you to visit Buffalo, Niagara on the Lake, even Toronto. The drive from the Buffalo airport is about 35 minutes in a rental car but there are shuttles and ride share options. Our Niagara Falls airport is an even better option if you can get a flight in there. It is tiny so it is not always doable though
that water fall belonged only Canada not belonged usa .. usa government korean estern sea 동해 called Japanese sea. According usa definition that fall belonged only Canada
Unfortunately, Sir, this is how war is, the losers die, because the winners dictate. In the War of 1812, the Americans got to the waterfall, until then it really belonged entirely to Canada, or more precisely, then to the British. The War of 1812 lasted until February 1815, and the only territorial change was at Niagara, as the USA received a part of approx. 30% from the USA and approx. 70% is on the Canadian side. Everything else remained as it was before the war. So it became a small American advantage, but it still exists today, more than 200 years later.
I feel so vindicated as a lot of these reccomendarions about the falls were a lot of the things I've been planning. Little disappointed seeing Marineland being rated so high when looking at the park, it's an absolute joke, even without looking at the animal abuse controversy.

Yes we took the Amtrak back to chicago. Its pretty late at night though. And a 40 minutes drive to the station in Buffalo. The station was quite empty with only few people in the waiting lounge. A v small station. Like a smalll house in fact. One full day is more than enough to see the u.s side niagara.

Another helpful vacation planning video as usual. I had no idea there was so much to do in Niagara Falls besides the falls itself.
It’s such a great area
I’ve been on the jet boat tour and it was amazing! Obviously I got soaked but it was so much fun. Sadly it’s got a lot more expensive at almost $80.

Another thing you should know about the Niagara Falls, Harriet Tubman was the first to survive a barrel ride into the falls, and she did multiple times!
She crossed over the Bridge, she never went over them in a Barrell...
Annie Edsel went over in barrel. Harriet Tubman helped others over border to freedom. Very few people survived the barrels
Wow I didn't know. Thanks
It’s very clear you’re uncultured the first person to ever go over was Annie Edison Taylor😘

You can visit a lot of these by foot since most of them are located around a mile from the falls :)
