Scarlett O'hara I squealed.
But then he has to add “buddy movie” these are not the same thing. :/ He is far less comfortable with the love story aspect than Sheen and Gaiman. I am disappoint in David.
grumblefkitty I mean, not really uncomfortable but less vocal on it imo.
He really does support it and you should see what he and Michael say once they’re in an interview together and that question pops
up (the comic-con one is really telling of that)
The ‘buddy movie’ comment is a bit weird though but it maybe him referring to a rom-com aspect of it or how his chemistry with Michael is really like that.
but he does really agree it’s a love story and it’s better than any deflection of the question than what other actors do.
Not trying to start a fight though. It’s all imo.

Can they just make a show of him and Sheen's characters through time? That one episode wasn't enough.

"It's the common ground that they've found that has taken them through eternity." Man, that line strikes me as so romantic.
I think there's a large part of the population that are thinking "love story" in any way means sexual tension in this case. They're completely wrong. If you have never loved someone like these two love each other without considering them as a sexual partner, you may not know what love is. Aziraphale and Crowley aren't gay. They aren't straight. They're way above orientation and the sooner humanity can embrace that kind of love, the better.

Like all the truly great shows, chemistry between the actors is as important as the writing IMHO....
He has had quite a track record of great chemistry with co-stars, including Crowley and Aziraphale, The Doctor and Rose, The Doctor and Donna, Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller, even the threesome in Blackpool. All among my favorite pairings of all time.

Especially poor David who can't seem to do an interview without being asked, AT LENGTH, questions about Doctor Who. It's like his career ended with that role, even though he's done lots of great shows since.

Why is it odd? Genuinely curious. They've both said that they've admired the other.
saying someone looks up to someone suggests they think of them as a hero or some sort of role model. This isn't even saying he looks up to Michael but up to his work.
Also, when asked what his favorite role of David's was, Michael couldn't name one thing he'd been in; I wouldn't put too much stock in actors saying they admire other actors' previous work.
