    Not true that is a must to use a fast reader then can obtain fast result. The secret is the phone you using. Yours phone itself have a reader. I got both this cards therefore I know. I tested both card in my phone. The result is, Samsung evo pro plus is still very fast respond as compare to SanDisk. Don't believe me? You guys can try it out. Samsung no matter what is still a samsung. My few SanDisk corrupted for no reason. Bit Samsung with me from 32gb, 128gb, 256gb, and now, 512gb, so far non of one piece damage yet. For SanDisk a few just suddenly damage for no reason. Good luck to those who use, you might need to back up all yours photos and videos before you ended up like my SanDisk micro SD extreme, and extreme pro.

    FYI these Samsung speeds are only attainable if used on a PC with the card reader it came with. It is NOT reflective of the speed during use in a camera or other device. It is impossible for cards of that architecture (UHS-I) to exceed read speeds of 104 MB/s while in use.
    The speed of the Samsung Pro Plus in actual use is around 98 to 99 read and 85 to 87 write. So very similar to the SanDisk, these two as well as the Kingston Canvas Go Plus and the Transcend High Performance are the best UHS-I cards I'm aware of.

    • @STHReadyForTech
      @STHReadyForTech  2 года назад +7

      That's right. Samsung says they use a “proprietary technology” to reach speeds beyond the UHS-I speed limit of 104MB/s. However, to reach these speeds, you’ll also need to be using a device that can support this.

    • @STHReadyForTech
      @STHReadyForTech  2 года назад +4

      @Epic Morning Hi, thank you for your Interesting question. What I can say is that the majority of devices out there are able to fully support UHS-I standard, therefore the sd card will reach anyway the maximum speed of 104MB/s. Considering the cost of the Samsung micro SD card it definitely worth the try if you already own the Samsung Galaxy S8.
      I hope that it was helpful for you.

    It's almost fake because you used Samsung USB adapter and the Samsung's cards are much faster in this adapter. In normal adapter this Samsung card (evo pro plus 2023 version) has read/write speed about 100MB/s. I know, because I have this card (and earlier version 2021 too). As much as I refrain buying/owning Korean products, I must say that I am yet to see any manufacturer that could beat Samsung memory cards, especially the Pro Ultimate SD cards. Hi @sarpsanin2463, thank you for your question. The microSD EVO plus sit at 130MB/s reading and 120MB/s writing but only for the 256GB card and 512GB card. Unfortunately the writing speed drops dramatically to 60MB/s for the 128GB and to 20MB/s for the 64GB card. With these in mind I will opt for the Samsung Pro Plus instead of the EVO plus. • @STHReadyForTech
      @STHReadyForTech  11 месяцев назад

      Hi, thank you for reaching over and watching the video, the main difference between the two card is the sequential write speed of the EVO plus that decreases for lower capacity card. 20Mb/s for the 32Gb an 64Gb, 60Mb/s for the 128Gb and 80Mb/s for the 256Gb. Also the maximum reading speed is the 160Mb/for the PRO Vs the 130 Mb/s for the EVO. Samsung say they use a “proprietary technology” to reach speeds beyond the UHS-I speed limit of 104MB/s. However, to reach these speeds, you’ll also need to be using a device that can support this. If you intend to buy the EVO plus I recommend to buy the 128Gb or 256Gb.
