Surprisingly, for a first year Con like anime WA. It was really good my friend and I had a blast. My only issue with the Con was not being able to bring in water. You couldn't bring in certain water bottles, and they had to be plastic bottles and empty. And from looking around their was only 1 place to fill up free water at. And you had to get in the line at the food court area to get the water which isn't fun when all u want is water and no food. For me I'm still mad over that because 1 they didn't tell people where they could access free water and 2 not allowing people to bring in their own water. From what I know it a safety consider since water is a necessity and not offering free water in a convenient place for everyone is bad and they never mention not allowing drinks of any kind on their website or their social media platforms. And I found out when a staff member was yelling about it in line and I had to put my drink back in the car. And didn't know their was free water station till after my mom left with my cup in the car so I was force to buy water which isn't fun. Beside that it was still fun I just hope next year they don't pull this again. Just let people bring in their own water. Why is that such a big deal.
This seemed like a very spacious and clean con for vendors and artists alike! I really loved all that natural lighting and just the overall chill vibe of this.
10:24 I found myself when it opened. I was the one in the yellow T-shirt 😂. Probably looking pissed which I sort of was. I was so pissed at some of the convention center staff for being rude in regards to the water bottle/canteen situation. I was asking for a simple clarification and one of the male convention center staff was so rude as if I was challenging him, when no, I was making sure I understood that I couldn't even bring in my own water canteen empty to fill it up inside. I travel enough and even the airport lets you bring in our empty water canteen once you're past TSA, so it was so odd to not be able to bring in an empty canteen.
I hate the parking for the Tacoma convention center. It was horrible when it was super full. Other than the parking situation Anime Washington was so much fun for the day I went.
I havent finished the video yet but I stopped by early Saturday morning dressed as Lynette from genshin impact! It was lovely meeting you! Really made my whole con expirence

i recommend parking at the tacoma dome station; its free, was pretty much empty and its a short link rail ride.
