Nowadays even modern dirt bikes have EFI engine and upgraded tech,so you don't have to worry about that.
Moreover it's mainly because of their low power to weight ratio,which is mainly required in off-road vehicles.

I really appreciate this video, I got my first bike a few days ago and flipped back my first time. I’ve always rode quads but never had a clutch. Couldn’t figure out what I done wrong until I watched this, I popped the clutch too fast with way to much throttle. Thanks a lot for explaining stuff well in this video bc now I can try again and know what to do👍🏻

Been wanting to get back into bikes for years.
Recently was asked by my girlfriends nephew to drive a dirt bike a few minutes down the road, after a few stalls I finally made it, but it made me want to improve. I'm planning on purchasing a bike like that one; I live in Florida and want to go trail riding for a hobby. I'm 52 years old and rode my cousins dirt bike when I was 12. I'm glad I found this video to do my homework you seem like a very good instructor, Thanks for the instruction on how to do it right. Now all I need to do is find a trail to ride around here.
I’m getting a dirt bike soon and this help me tremendously, thanks. Also when your shifting do you let the gas off all the way? Or just a little when you shift?
Awesome! Glad I was able to help! To shift properly you need to release throttle completely and then shift but if you get into a more advanced type of riding you can power shift which can vary between some throttle to full throttle while shifting but it does cause the transmission to wear out faster.

Once you’re moving in first gear can you bring the bike to a stop in then take off or do you have to hold in the clutch again?
After you're moving, if you slow down slower than the engine is turning over then you'll need to pull in the clutch or else you'll stall the engine.
Hi, bought this exact bike as the Z20 Max variant (large tires). I just got it up and running yesterday and it’s definitely a beast,
Concerning gear changes.. I clutched when gearing up and down. However, there was a moment where my big foot down shifted without the clutch on accident while slowing down. It shifted the gear like smooth butter, although I thought I would hear a clank or grind.
Is this something that should be able to happen? Should I make sure I use the clutch as intended?

You should always use the clutch prior to shifting, however, you likely did not grind any gears as it was likely that the engine wasn't under a load therefore it seemed as if it shifted perfectly fine at the time.

Yes sir because I'm 5'7" Any bigger and I wouldn't recommend it as an everyday ride But at 5'7 you're good.

@@tommybyrne760 yes. Very bad, you could break a rod or seize the piston and that is a very expensive repair

@@tommybyrne760 if your rpm is too low and it's hard to accelerate in the gear you're in. Example is if your idling In 4th gear, it will be hard to accelerate. You should downshift to 3rd or 2nd gear. You want to keep around 4k rpm for best experience, except In 4th gear, you can go as fast as you want, just not slower than 2k rpm

CONS: 2:00 mins into the video u started to shift off topic confusing us a bit mentioning the fancy RAPTOR bikes nd other fancy bikes u mentioned the difficulty multitasking nd shifting nd etc. u started confusing us a bit had to rewind a couple times cause I didn’t wanna miss anything .u can really help a lot simply just staying on topic not saying u don’t but keep it in mind for upcoming videos
