2:18 I recently got my headphones and almost immediately found I would like replacement ear pads. Its not terrible comfort, its just I had felt better. Anyway you can get replacement ear pads, brainwaves comes generally recommended, but something specific to the ATHM50s is that the ear pads have extra foam on the part that touches the drivers, and the brainwaves dont have that. Which makes the high end a little shrill from what ive heard. So i decided to go with WC Wicked cushions instead. They are pretty good. They are thicker, but not too think as to change the sound too much and they have that padding on the back. Though I cant compare to the brainwaves if anyone is wondering about that and finds this comment.
With these headphones you'll be able to power them on pretty much any device. So your Mackie will have no problem with them. Thank you for continuing to watch. Keep creating! 👊👍
thank you so much. i was looking for mixing headphones (went back to my folks' after 11 years 'cause pandemic) and my studio monitors are not an option because I'll drive people insane mixing the same piece for 8+ hours I guess I may end up with some user-leverl Panasonic's I've had for 8 years, its flatter believe it or not
A lot of us have to mix on headphones due to our living situations. As long as you know your headphones you can get some decent results. I believe you about your Panasonics. I had a pair of consumer grade Sony headphones that I thought were incredible to mix on (the first pair of headphones I started mixing with). I'm not sure if they were flat or maybe it was because I learned on them but I always got great results with them. Of course I still had to test the mix on various other sources and make adjustments but that is typical for headphones and monitors. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Keep creating! 👊👍
I had them for years and they are GREAT. The only problem I have is that the imitation leather all piled off.. ok the don't look that cool anymore but they sound GREAT and I'm more than happy with them.
this is of course more or less good headphones. But it would be more interesting to see how they work together with abbey road studios 3 or with realphones ;)
I recently purchased a new headset (ATH-M50xBT) and noticed that it has a p65 (Proposition 65 Cancer and Reproductive harm) warning on the back of the box. I looked at several other Audio Technica headsets and many of them seemed to carry this warning. Is anyone familiar with this warning or why it would be listed on so many of the AT products? Should I send mine back? I got it at B&H. This warning label is located in the back of the box. Also did your box come with a plastic cover for the headphone box? Mine didn’t! Just a box
That warning is on pretty much everything made out of plastic these days it’s to protect the company from being sued in the state of California. You can read more on it here www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/blog/what-is-prop-65/ but if you don’t feel safe with them, send them back and try to find headphones without plastic on them. Or just use studio monitors which will also likely have that warning on them. My headphones didn’t come with a case just the headphones. It didn’t say anywhere that it would though.
@@AudioTechTV oh wow! That warning scared me bro. Can you recommend a non plastic headphone? I feel bad cause I really wanted these headphones but the risk is too great 😞
@@priestlygarments4004 I wouldn't worry about that warning too much, friend. We as a nation has been neck deep in polyurethane since WW2, lol. Have no fear, just love! Cheers.
@@AudioTechTV i meant that I prefer headphones without Bluetooth. this is why I asked in general if these headphones have a battery. And if without the cable they will work? Or the headphones must have a cable?

You can replace the ear pads. I’ve actually been considering replacing mine lately.

can you use Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones as wired headphones without using a battery?
I don’t have the Bluetooth version so I don’t know. Sorry.

@@AudioTechTV and i liked that video so much btw ! :D u help me to choose good headphones ) thank you.
These headphones have a cable and must have a cable attached to use them. They aren’t wireless so there are no batteries. Hope this helps.
