- Join Jay as he reviews the new Mattel Creations Exclusive Lady Slither for the MOTU origins toyline. She is a deluxe regular sized origins figure that comes with a newly tooled snake tail that can attach to her as well as any other MOTU origins figure. The Tail is a big accessory that hopefully Mattel will make plenty to go with our other Snake Men in the future! I'll get two to display in both forms, plus the extra tail looks like it would go well with Snake Teela too, although that belt needs to be a different color for that.

Finally getting those furry shorts for the female buck makes a Battleground Teela in Origins/Whatever Origins is rebranded possible. Very nice review and thanks for trying the tail out on Fangor. Also -- quick question -- is the head one solid chunk of plastic or is the hair the standard rubbery piece glued in/on like with Teela & She-Ra?

Interesting that this is cheaper than Moss Man
The figure is very good, the design of Axel and Francisco Etchart and above all, the box with the drawing and color medallion of Francisco is amazing. Francisco has already made several drawings and colors by himself and others together with Axel giving him the color.

As far as them "not selling" goes, this ain't the 80s anymore. The notion that female action figures do not sell is not true, especially when collectors make up the majority of the customers.

So the choices for crowdfunding are Fright Zone(looks amazing but should not be a crowd funded item) Snake Castle that looks great. And some stuff from the animated series that dose absolutely nothing for me personally.

I really like the snake tail, but I feel like we have enough snakes. They keep releasing all of these snakes instead of Masters we want: Syklone, Rokkon and Stonedar, Modulock, Dragstor, Rio Blast, etc. It's Masters of the Universe, not Snakes of the Universe.
It's also the 20th anniversary of the Snake Men cartoon and toyline, thats why we are getting so much from that faction. It's only for 2023, next year they will be shifting focus to Filmation.
Nice figure! For the eternias choice I voted for the attak track and doom tower. Would be nice if since it is filmation's 40th anniversary today, they also put up, (at least for preorder), the filmation versions of characters for both origins and masterverse that they previewed at sdcc.

1) I hate the limited release exclusives.... I wish these could at least be target exclusives so anyone who wants one can get one.

Lady slither was far easier to get in the UK than the Target exclusives will be, since Mattel sold her on their own website. She is actually still available. MOTU is popular worldwide, not just in the US.

@dustinnye1688 Actually he is, he's an influencer dude. A lot of collectors eyes are on this video and it's called a marketing strategy, pretty common in 2023.
It's not viable anymore for them to release a figure for an exhaustive brand. These toys have been dropping for 3 years now. When the fatigue sets in the only people buying are diehard fans. When that happens sales drop. Because of that they are being made to order.
You will have a chance to buy on the 12th. I would assume everyone who can place a pre-order should get one.
