The "American Dream" is right there if you're willing to work for it. Great story.
In 4th grade I was thinking about what I was going to eat when I got home
Kyle Smith 😂 me to dude or what toy I was gonna play with in the ol sand box
😆
Or how to hide the report card from my parents so they didn’t whooped my ass lol
Me too
😂😂😂😂😂 Chips and hotdog.. soda yum
Stan, please keep making these videos. They are so inspiring for many people. I am 16, this is my 4th year. I hope this inspires many people to get off the couch and work! God Bless!
Im 23 started at 19 and I kick myself for not starting earlier keep up the good work!!
Alex Matthews hey how has the business been going? I need coaching, I’m thinking of starting one
Alex Matthews how are you doing now ??
Even better, you started exactly when God wanted you to
This kid has it figured out. Great video and it's nice to see young people with a great work ethic.
He probably helped out with his dad. That’s where he learned and gained valuable experience to be successful. He saved up all his money he got. Keep up the good work.
Thank you !
Man, when my brother and I started our "yard work" business at 12 and 13 years old, we thought that $300-$500 or so per year was awesome money. We were rolling in the dough at $3 an hour for a couple of years there!
It’s called loving supportive parents and grandparents never mentioned in the video.
Guaranteed daddy is in a related field and “coached” him all the way. I don’t buy these stories where a kid does it all on their own. No kid does, there is always support and free help along the way, because people want to encourage the kid.
John Doe - Wrong, just speaking facts here doofus. You obviously have never been a business owner. There are plenty of things in growing a business that a kid just cannot do on their own. Especially one involving heavy equipment, insurance, employees, and legal details.
Mr. Butterworth I’d have to disagree with you. You’re right that it’s most likely exactly with most of these cases, but there are such anomalies. Especially when kids nowadays all have devices where they look up and learn just about everything ever
@John Doe Except the part where he has been in business for 9 years. Meaning he started when he was 9. Big ups to him, most would squander the opportunity. But it is definitely a rare opportunity and not something everyone has access too.
@John Doe Lol no one is making excuses here. But to not recognize it was him taking advantage of an existing opportunity, not creating opportunity from nothing, would be disingenuous.
This has got to be the craziest story I've ever heard for starting a small business
It's encouraging to see that there are still young people who don't expect things to be handed to them. Great to see some people still have "the old fashion work ethic" 👍👍👍👍
Awesome video man! Im getting my chemical applicator license and adding overseeding, aerating etc to my list of services next year and it's always nice to see someone with drive have the results they deserve. Thanks again for posting this video!
Started in fourth grade with a junk mower and a push broom. Now I'm 15 with 4 scags, truck, trailer, and atv snow plow setup. Great videos keep up the good content.
This is awesome Stan, you always get the best guests for your channel!
You're a badass Colin, good luck and continued growth in the future!
Man that is great when he gets out of school he does not have to worry about working for someone else he already has it going on.
Good for him I’m sure his folks helped out of course that’s ok . He’s a go getter go kid go ! I’ve been working since 13 and when I graduated high school i had $100k bought my first home when I was 18 lived there for 6 months painted it and fixed couple things and sold it for double what I paid and I was hooked after that I lived it breathed it hustled it like crazy . And this kid is doing all that. You too can do it to just gotta dedicate and stop making excuses go get it done whatever it is no excuse or I’ll do it tomorrow no do it in that moment you thought about getter done !! Congrats kid wish more kids were like that our youth is in sand shape today !
Great to hear this type of success and dedication!
I have to say my favorite part about these videos is the ending..."God bless".
Well done young man. You got the formula down. Keep up the good work.
This is great. Seeing other people crush it just makes everyone else want to crush it too!
Great video. I've been in bussiness 12 years now. My son is 16. He comes to work with me in the summer. He is eager to help and take the business over. I teach him all the mistakes I have made throughout the years and all the good decisions I have made as well. I hope he will do as well as this kid has done. I am making my son earn the buss. You are right it is hard hearing it's your dad's company. So my customers are starting to see him out at an early age. Great job kid! Keep up the good work!
So cool that your son works with you!
64 thumbs down? They’re probably waiting at home for the government check to arrive!
I believe him. Not hard to gross $500k. 15-20% profit. $75-$100k for hard work.
proof positive pretty much anyone in this country can do extremely well for themselves regardless of age. just a matter of ambition
Good for him! Its nice to see someone from the younger generation thats a real go-getter out there. Hope for this world after all. ;-)
Look forward to these videos every time 👌🏽
It's not possible if your folks "require you" to go to college. It's just not. If you're one born into a family of contractors....today...that's a blessing...by far a better income and life style.
Man i work for currently did this, He already had his plumbing master license so the first half of difficulties was done. he left and i did to, been with him since the first day, he has taught me how to be an excellent plumber, how to be thorough, and im still with him to this day. He has always put me first and now we have a well established company and the phone never stops ringing. this country is amazing, and it owes you nothing. so just try and keep going.
Lads got big balls! Good on ya mate! Hope you make it big time.
I would Love to meet this kid, I'm 20 and doing the same thing myself, been going since 12 years old.
Awesome video! My biggest struggle in my business is doing the books, the taxes, etc...
Wow... that’s amazing. All I can say RESPECT to you!
Appreciate that Evan, thank you !
Cullen is doing an awesome job, such an inspiration
Very inspiring young man. I have older brothers and in saying that because of them I was able to do snow removal every single year since 5 years old. This is not far fetched, it's a young man that is a thinker and not a follower. P.S yes I'm still in buisness too and I'm 27. Dont underestimate the human mind, if you truly want something you will make it happen. Another great video stan, thanks
Thank you Brandyn
I am Cuba live in Havana, Cuba, 61 years old.
Very motivating story for me.
I am freelancer since 2003 touristic-oriented since 2009 as Tourist Guide but before I am experienced professional in many branches.
In 2017 I was trying to start a construction business in my country but it´s true the regime is oriented to non-permitting private iniciatives and still stands as obstacle.
For today I keep on staying freelancing... who knows.
Best regards
Walter
Keep going Walter you are doing great. 👏 Your country is beautiful, wish you well. Hopefully the government there continues to relax restrictions on private business.
You're only as good as your last job 💪💪 Thanks for that!
Awesome story. At 36 with bad back problems from 20+ years working in a factory making a rich man richer while barely making enough to get by, I wish I made better choices.
Not too late at 36 mate I'm 32 and have only been into the entrepreneurial mindset since the age of 30. Now I have full belief in myself that I will be a multi millionaire by the age of 40. All day everyday when you are not having to concentrate much just think think think ideas, opportunities, shortages, demand and once you have a idea take a risk and go for it, no procrastinating just go
somthing i would like to see is not just how they got started but how they learned some of the things like how to properly bid jobs or properly lay a path?
Its just a progression, step by step, he knows what it took to lets say mow an acre. Cost of labor, fuel, travel etc.. add 15-30% for profit thats the price. As the tasks get bigger so does the cost .. really simple. Just need to put the work in and you will win some n lose sum but when you lose one you learn why and know better for the next job.
Kenny Weaver Armwrestling Yea I need help on bidding jobs
God Bless You guy's!! Thanks Again!
I had to come back and grab a couple of these videos to send one of my best friends that his son is mowing grass and I know this will help him start his business if that's what he decides to do I told him last night to get on this channel man and you can learn a lot 👊🏼👊🏼
I really appreciate that Roy, thank you !
@@Dirtmonkey big big welcome brother I love to help people if any way possible can't wait to hear back from my friend to see what he thinks about your videos I will definitely let you know I hope he dropped some comments as well👍👍👊👊✊✊
I believe it. I will find good help and be at his level!
😀👍
Thanks Stanley, great content!
That is the hardest park finding good guys who know what they're doing
Man, some people hit it big! I’ve been trying to grow my business for 3 years and it just isn’t happening for me. I get a good contract every now and then but it’s not stable at all. I’m in the floor covering demo and installation business
Great a Video Really inspirational
Not fed with a silver spoon. Had $1500 in the bank in the 4th grade. Lol
Alex Veniegas that's nothing .... so your a dumbass
Right... Buying a trailer in 5th grade... How many years before he was legal to drive??
Dennis Syrovoy... I didn't see your comment when I responded....
First off... it's "you're a dumbass"
2nd $1,500 for a 4th grader is a lot of money. Considering it's illegal to work at that age everything he had was given to him.
Right something doesn't add up
My exact thoughts. "A cheap $800 mower"
Very inspirational young man. My question is how do you learn how to do these type of jobs? Going from cutting grass to these other projects shown in video such as, retaining walls, stone work, etc.
Great work, man. Keep it up!
And all of these fellas saying stuff about how it's good to see someone like him out of this "lazy" younger generation is out of touch. I guaran-damn-tee most kids nowadays work harder than y'all did back in the day, and now.
Thanks for sharing!
I’m 15 and all of my friends are dang near useless where was me and one friend that actually wants to make money are going to start a lawn and landscaping company next summer and have already handed out flyers for our snow removal company
Young kid making America Great. awesome.
george petrask let's leave trumps slogan out of this.
MrRottensalad IKR!
Yup then there's some 70 year old orange guy destroying our country while he is building
your either ignorant or stupid to not see the good he is doing. You sound like all the other trump haters that just repeat what all the other libtards are saying
@@caseystiner6311 Orange man bad, beep, beep, beep bop.
Hey man good for you, I'm just in awe watching this. For me its so cool to see this because I have literally the same story for me. I'm 23, been doing lawn care and landscaping for 11 years, 5 of those latest years now officially on the book working for myself. Like you its my own business I started from nothing, and like you not with "Daddy's Money" I know just as much as you the everyday struggles from day one the long days and nights and all the behind the scenes work. With our young generation falling to the "give me everything and don't want to work" crap, its awesome to see more of these real stories out there! Again congratulations kid, you got a great thing going on and have a lot to be proud of. - Josh Scott - Scott's Lawn Service, LLC - New Holstein, WI .
Much respect for this young dude!
🙂
Incredible journey!
That's Awesome stuff this guy is motivated to dig in
Thanks for viewing Mike !
Damn, I can't wait till (if) I get there! Right now I am at the step of needing a truck... any advise for me on a truck? I have a leaf loader for the fall, so it would be best if I got a dump truck, but idk. I'm trying to budget around $6,000, which I know isn't a lot. I'm 14. Thanks!
loved it!
My son's in 3rd grade just got his first job. Walking my aunt's dog once a day for 10 minutes. I go with him. Makes $25 a week plus $10 allowance. He got 100 oz of silver and $600 saved. Trying to teach him how to save because if same was done for me since same age, things would be different for me right now.
Very good advice Irvin!
bad advice, teach him how to invest.. if your money is just sitting it's depreciating in value and your literally losing money..
That’s awesome. Great job young man.
Thanks Rob !
This little guy is amazing.
hard work and determination, thats how I did it.No sitting around when I was younger,my old man forced us to work,im glad he did.I went to trade school, got a ticket, worked UNION and NON UNION.Invested in heavy equipment and now am phasing out corporations and working for myself.GET A TRADE,ANY TRADE,then branch out,and do what you want later in life.KEEP YOUR DEBTS IN CHECK!!!!!!!!!
All good advice, thanks for watching!
I love this!
That’s amazing
Welp, He sure Motivated me ✊🏾
Freaking great story! Great video!
That’s mind blowing
I just wanted to share something as I'm seeking a little guidance. I've recently decided that I wanted to take the first step to achieving my goal of becoming an owner of what I hope one day will be a successful business. I've started out purely detailing cars (what my channel is dedicated to) but soon I want to branch out and incorporate marketing and advertising to aid people in selling their cars boats and/or motorbikes, essentially igniting the vehicle market scene by bringing together a combination of many media methods with exceptional detailing to increase the chances of a successful sale. Only thing is I'm finding it difficult to get amongst like minded people that can assist and provide some information and knowledge face to face with getting a business off the ground. Basically what I'm wanting is some educated opinions of my business idea. Is it best to look for an experienced person or asking my potential target audience? Sorry about the large comment. Anyway this video is very inspiring and it's so good to hear from successful people and how they got started!
FocusOnDetailing that is a great idea, people seeing cars need their cars detailed so they can sell it for more. double advertising 👍😎
Thanks for the comment man! Awesome that I'm getting feedback! Cheers
Great interview
Another Pittsburgh Guy!! Love it. Go Steelers
😀
awesome this guy
And to think I know people who are so incompetent, they can't comprehend the simplest and most common sense problems you come across in life. This man is truly impressive.
- "how did you do it you weren't born wit a silver spoon?"
-"we bought a 800 dollar mower from Sears when I was 9"
Awesome story young Man!!
Amen!!! Great job kid.
Thanks! 😀
Nice video man
mason work is where its at. its easy and people love it.
Very inspiring
Congratulations!!🎈🎉
You're absolutely right ....Hi Renee good evening how are you doing over the re hope you're having a wonderful day 😊
How do you feel about home advisor as a contractor land scaper?
hey stanley I want to work for a business similar to yours im turning 18 on the 16th. any tips on where i should start?
Inspiring for the young ones

You're welcome, very happy you like the videos and thanks so much for watching!
Great story!
well done kid a future multi
Im doing this same business..I did by myself without support from my parents.I have saving attitude since kid.
How is it going?
Respect
glad to see a local boy! #pittsburgh
Awesome stuff!
😀
The state of Florida requires all landscaping businesses that reshape, grade and drainage to have 6 years experience. Was this kid working since he was 12? Or is it different where he's from?
I respect these kids parents for exposing him to the real in fucking 4th grade. Damn! At 4th grade I was wondering what computer game I was gonna play when I got home
I'm from south Africa i started at 14 with no parents was n millionair at 26 no bullshit its just hard work and if there is fear its sometimes good to have that fear drives u to success
How so are you a millionaire
@@gokunumberone presumably he started a business and worked his ass off, or he's lying. Both are plausible.
Great work, my fellow blue collar business guys!!
Thanks!!
$$ can help when I was freshmen I had no$$ for adverts lol
I started the same time as him
can you do a video like this for your own company?
"You just bought a skid steer for $62,000+?"
"Yeah, *we* bought..."
Exactly. Hats off to him, no doubt, but he was clearly a high schooler with old money backing him up. I can't even imagine a bank giving him a loan for that much at such an age, unless again he had help from parents.
Alot of business owners say we.. without the help of the guy he mentioned thats putting in all the hours he does he knows he wouldn't be where he is. Not having bills and making cash as a kid he probably kicked back 100k before he was 16. If he started at 9. that plenty to buy a truck in cash and all his equipment in cash. scale up from 2 men to 5 and he's where he is now 500k a year probably keeping 150-200k of that for him and the business ... definitely paid cash for that new skid steer.
Nice
Pittsburgh is a great place for hardscaping
Consistency!!!!
Yeaaaaaa parents got money somewhere to start
Do you thing lawn care/Landscaping is still a good business to get into even though there is a lot of competitors?
Charles Roach as of right now don't think so so much fierce competition but don't let it stop you if you think you got what it takes go for it
I have a lawn care business I mow remove snow and remove leaves and can also aerate some small yards
Awesome Lucas, hope your business is going well!
Thank you appreciate it keep up the good work
