Ive been trying to tell people this in my kingdom. Some people were saying he was useless because he was blocked from the map. I think it's nice that newbies get to experience the strength of an expertise commander early on.
Scipio P had 10% chance to have 3×500 direct dmg proc, and Remember skill dmg tree from ragnar had additional dmg +6% which is gonna be decent with this combi
Ragnar's 4th skill is a little bit conflicting with the design of the map for him. His 4th skill's 15% skill dmg buff only benifits the active skill of the primary commander in his march which means he's better as primary commander. While in the map King of All Britain, he is supposed to be a good secondary for all troop type. So on the map that is made for him, one of his skills doesn't work in the best way for him?
Whats amazing for infantry atm is im hearing all kinds of options for 3 march line ups. We have options now. If commanders stay on par and dont power creep to much this can be true for all troop types
Lilith has been pumping out lots of new mechanics in this game lately. So I would bet that the next infantry commander would have a new mechanic that’s not necessarily smite. A shielding commander that deals damage based on the shield perhaps? Basically, Lilith isn’t gonna make it easy for us to make a prediction 😅
considering that the new infantry generations come in January. The Meta could be Liu / Scipio and Walace / New infantry commander with smite damage. I think Ragnar's biggest doubt is in the future of the infantry, smite or skill?
I hope that Lilith only put him as Infantry to test him out and that they are just gonna make him leadership and change the Infantry specific stats to all damage
I actually ran scipio Alex in my current kvk and it actually performed quite well. That relic has really helped Alex. I think Ragnar Alex would be a solid march.
I just unlocked LC, playing kvk3 for the first time. I saved every gh since day one to expertise LC but now I'm thinking about expertising RP. I feel like with his relic he will be the most flexible and future proof commander. What do you think? What should I do?
just expertise ww, smite damage hits more prickly than skill damage and gives the enemy more sevs... that's the power of normal/smite damage commanders... just bring scipio /ragnar and ww/lc and you're good to go
As someone who currently uses Alex/Liu Che and has for 6 months now I think? AND recently fought multiple infantry mains who use William Wallace/Liu Che. They beat me every time sadly ;( he’s slow but he’s a tank beast tbh

Yeah ragnar is cracked. it's gonna mess up my gold head plans due to being off cycle but i really do not think he's skipable. Oh, one thing to note is that the up time on the 3rd ragnar skill is like 80%+. There's no cool down and it procs off his attacks and from people attacking him. It's probably more fair to say that ragnar has 30% march speed and 15% attack or average. PS: IMO ragnar/liu is now the best march if you're building 1 inf march. the skill tree is totally fine for liu, mostly adds rage gen which is just always good.
Still looking for the best 3 infantry marches.... I have Expertise: LC, WW, Scipio, Gorgo, GY, Alex, Sargon, Martel (lol), and have enough GH for Ragnar Prime to expertise when he drops..... I only have 1 solid Cav march and my only Archer is Zhuge/YSG...... so looking for that 3 infantry march combo.
Tough decision for infantry investment if in kvk3 now. Next infantry cycle wont matter as ile be doing cavs. Obviously Lc, but if long term future is smite Ww could be better than Ragnar or Scipio because i could split Ww/LC in a few years. I will likely run 4 marchs tops.
I think you could also use ragnar as a secondary for huo in a cav march since he only has one inf only skill and even that one still gives normal damage reduction.Probably better than william.

I really think Guan/Ragnar and Scipio/LC is the best two infantry. They’re both tanky, debuffing, DOUBLE AOE, and fast. That’s gotta be the best for open field even if LC/Alex hits like it does.
RP is meta but most players can't or shouldn't attempt to expertice him. 690 gold heads is like a 6 month commitment for even a low spend, let alone an F2P. Then, you have to have a quality pairingvlike Scipio maxed. Then, if you already have two experticed infantry marches; do you add a third? Or who gets benched? Then infantry is coming a few months away in Summer of 25. This is a whale/kraken toy for players with superfluous gold heads. I'll stick with Guan/Scipio and LC/Alex. Hell, I don't have enough heads to even do Wallace right now. 😂

Actually if your properly stingy you would notice that RagP is the first true meta commander in quite a while and you should already have alot of heads saved up for him. Last cav, inf, and archer cycles were just "ok". RagP is easily better than all of them

That's pretty solid imo. But yeah, the rest were mehhh. I think Rag P is definitely a solid investment for the mb.

@@lazygun586 Alex’s instant proc damage occurs more often because of LC’s expertise plus it’s very fast. You can just go in and out of battle and pop the instant proc and farm kills lol
A couple of kvks back we were so badly matched that we rarely had control of the field for long, I was farming kills for fun cheeseburgering from citys, the damage is so big and so fast and skill cycle is done before people you are hitting have time to use their active skill - you are back in the city and ready to send it out again.
Maybe at a big murderball where you are going to stand a chance of staying in contact with the enemy you are hitting, it’s difficult to get Sargon damage over time into play consistently which is a shame as a lot of people invested in him, still see him used as a secondary in rally in my last kvk but not so much on the field.
Hey bro, why is Zhuge Liang additional damage factor only 750? His marquis effect deals 1500 damage factor to 3 targets, with not even reduction for each extra target (true that its not affected by damage buffs, but still!!)

So if he is expertise, he starts with the 10% bonus damage and when the primary commander casts the active skill, he deals the 1500x3 damage. Then with the secondary commander skill, he recovers the 10% damage buff. And repeats that every cycle. Thats why his expertise is so valuable, it makes the 10% damage buff stay longer.

2 different commanders. Logically it wont apply to both. You could make the argument that if they are 2 different commanders then why can't we use them in a pair, but it would be too much to expect Lilith to buff 2 commanders with one relic 😅

Your calculation for Zhuge is wrong. You didn't consider the 1500 dmg factor aoe on his 4th skill. He deals the most damage

The thing i don't like about test without equipmen is that noone in a serious combat on open field will attack you without equipment

When you run 3 Marches, why not use WW/Gorgo, Liu/Alex and Ragnar Prime/Scipio Prime? I think that would be fine aswell

Its only for one commander, one time in 2 skill cycles. after removing marquis effect ,this 1500 damage is activated
