Stay tuned for another killer lick video! What could it be? ;)
Hey you got killer guitar skills man.. How about some eric johnson type lick runs?
Do a video on the first 5 licks or so that you mastered.
@@rocksteady5200 interesting! Let me give that some thought.
You included the string and fret number which automatically makes this tutorial superb. Great video!
Спасибо Кемерон за ваши уроки, короткие, качественные успехов.
Your 100percent correct about overthinking when soloing. Sometimes I listen to old tapes off.myself and solols sound better. Not to technical. Just have more feel to them. Thanks for doing what you do. 👍👍👍👍
That sparkle is killer. Great video again!!
Killa!!!! Followed this through with my guitar and man.....my face did melt! It gave me more confidence. Now off to practice, practice, practice, practice. Thanks Cameron!
Great player, great lick, great teaching style. Cheers, brother.
Great playing. First one sounds like it was inspired by no more tears
I actually got the idea from Firewind - Gus G. 😀
A great sequence thank you once again Cameron. I have learned so much from you thanks to your hard work and dedication . Sounding better thanks to your licks
That was awesome!
Thank you!
Man you really sound great Cameron I follow you all the time you really have some really interesting licks thanks for sharing your knowledge with us and have a Merry Christmas
Always dig your videos man! Positive attitude filled with awesome licks! I hope for even more success in your life.
Really kind of you thanks so much! :)
Nice.
Cam you are my kind of player. I’ve realized I don’t have time to sit and learn theory all day and I just want to be a better rock guitar player. I just need more licks. It doesn’t look like you focus on theory too much but instead use licks and phrases you’ve learned from songs into your own playing. That’s my new short term goal. Please keep posting licks and phrases that you think transformed your playing. It helps me so much man
Great stuff. Lately I’ve been focusing on creating simpler melodic/rhythmic phrases a lot but this kinda stuff helps add flare to all that. Simple ideas are good for outlining your solo but it sounds too traditional if that’s all you do, you gotta add some sparkle to it once in a while. These kinda runs are the perfect complement to what I’m working on right now, cheers!
You're right! :)
Yea I’m trying to find the good balance too.
Awesome!!!
Damn Cam, almost 22k! Great video as usual =)
Nice one pal
Cheers! 😉
Cheers Cam!
Lick 1 1:20 Lesson 1:44
Lick 2 3:15. Lesson 3:42
Lick 3 5:00. Lesson 5:15
Happy New Year!
Same to you! All the best. 😀
0:05 that cute dog
Jake E. Lee-ish lick!!! Gonna hafta try it!!!
Cameron - I think your brilliant - I have posted 2 comments now and you have replied to both ! Flattered to be honest - great playing - keep up the good work.
I'm very active in my comments section
You, my friend. Just got a new subscriber
Hey Cam, been checking out 'balance' again since watching the video with you and your dad. I'm really enjoying the track 'Amsterdam'. If you dig that would you be able to show us how it's done. Not a fully fledged lesson but wanna see you rip it
Amazing Guitar player
Three of my favorite guitarists easily! Nice work man!
That 3rd lick sounds similar to a particular sequence in Yngwie Malmsteen's Arpeggios from Hell.
do a video of the licks you were doing when you were talking about jake e lee those were sick
Nice! Great tutorial Cam. This is exactly what I need to help me break away from my usual licks. Thank you for being so willing share your ideas and techniques. following your on Instagram now.
I so want that sparkle Charvel. Where did you find that!!!!
They're a really rare limited edition model that was launched in 2015. Very hard to find now however. I am aware that they only 90 of these silver ones were ever made. There was also an Orange Flake San Dimas which is also very hard to find.
Check out the fender black top series in silver. Not exactly the same but they look pretty cool too. Plus they use amp knobs instead of the standard tone knobs. Gives it kinda bad ass look.
jetavana jet thanks man. I took a look at it actually - still find myself on the Charvel side but I appreciate you taking the time to make the suggestion. 🤟🏻
The first examples is almost identical to the end of No More Tears
Thanks, Cam! Can you go into your reasoning for that picking - U,D,D,U,U?
It's just how I roll. I'm not sure but it could be because I'm left handed
Ha I’m looking at the tele on the wall like what did he customize the pick guard lol but it’s a reflection lol mirror pick guard
You can actually buy mirror pickguards.
Its amazing what you do. Your attempting to teach something unteachable, lol.
Anything learnable is teachable
@@CameronCooper Thanks for replying. Meant as a compliment. Im trying to learn from your teaching and its working and I appreciate that. Your instruction is helping me to be more fluid and grounded. Ive been basically kinda of a 'feeling' type guitarist, nothing is ever the same, especially lead licks... The way you do things makes it look easy (your an excellent player, imo) and it always is inspirational, so Im going to keep plugging along with you and see what develops. Thanks. Keep this stuff coming, I really dig it!
I think u like Charvel
Digress more please
Also I would watch your videos 2x as much If you taught in standard tuning. I can understand some certain songs being taught in Eb but most of us just have standard tuning
If you're in standard tuning when learning from a lesson taught when tuned down half a step down shouldn't stop you. All you need to do is put your fingers and play in the same spot. It will just come out a semi-tone higher on your guitar :)
@@CameronCooper I was just about to make a new comment on watching this again - then I was like, wait the fingers are- hmm yeah you must be tuned down 1/2 step. LOL I was on search for good practice riffs to use. i was searching and searching and I was like, oh this must be the one.
I first discovered you video playing the Yamaha Revstar and then I just wanted to subscribe. Thanks for all of your great video content.
Cool but first half really close to solo from miracle man from ozzy ozbourne / Zack wyld
and i forgot to mention my guitar is tuned to Eb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You just proved why I don't need to mention it
Ever listen to Gary Moore? I’ve come to the conclusion that he was the best player of all time
Gary could literally play anything 😂🤘🏻
he definitely a beast!!
nice stratocaster come visit me and lets jam
