What you didn’t advise, is when you are in a bar alone and a buying rounds of lady drinks with yours is to pay for each round individually so you don’t get a shitload of phantom rounds added to the bill at the end of the night when you are too drunk to remember how many rounds you actually should pay for!!

Don't run the 'bin system' in the bar where you are drinking. Always pay cash for each drink each time. Make sure you have plenty of 100 baht and 20-baht notes with you as well. I have handed over a thousand baht note to pay for a round and invariably you get short-changed.

I don’t think you have been to Thailand yet, in Thailand there’s a much bigger ratio of women to men and also a much bigger ration of good looking girls, in the bar areas you are looking at hundreds if not thousands of girls, on each bar there’s a lot of girls, there are more girls than customers, you will never have a problem finding a girl, but don’t forget, they are “working” girls, they are all very friendly and pleasant to be around but don’t make the mistake of trying to make them a girlfriend or a wife like some guys do.

They seem to show their customers plenty of attention and interest. I 'get' that it's all transactional, and that you should never 'fall' for them. But the way they draw you in with their vivacious, charismatic smiles & laughter is just so amazing!
