Naas Botha is the most dominate number 10 period. No other player in history took control of an entire game like Naas did. Had he been able to play his entire career without all the political problems isolating South Africa from the world scene, the record books would have been absolute proof of his dominance. Danie Craven was right in everything he said about Naas.
@@SilverHayze the 1986 Cavaliers that toured South Africa was a great series. Grant Fox was a great goal kicker and general behind a good pack of forwards. SA would have had to beat a much better NZ side than this at Eden Park to win RWC 87. Based on the 92 Bok side you wouldn’t have come close in 91. It’s all hypothetical though

No, the all blacks at home were devastting. It would have been closer than the 29-9 win against France, but rest assured, the All Blacks were dominant that year and at home. Speaking as someone who has grown to love the Boks
Ja, the game is just so much faster these days - so there spaces close up before you can get into them. As for Naas, they always used to say you could easily spot him at the end of the game - he'd be the only guy with lean shorts. But in all seriousness, he is a legend!
Ray Mordt was a silent assasin. The Boks have always been good with ball in hand, I hope they keep this up and not just brawn. That alone wont win matches going forward.
