I was at a horror movie marathon in a theater and this went on in between two of the movies. I just HAD to look it up. It's freakier when you're in a dark room with surround sound and this thing is on the big screen and you have no idea what you're in for. At first I thought it was some cute thing they were playing in between and then the guy steeped on the other guy and I was like: "Oh! This is going to be interesting." and it was even more interesting than I could have imagined.
There's a theory about Learning with Plibby where the Glitch actually represents how people distort childhood things into something they would never be, for the sake of pleasure. Here, I can see why because some (if not, all of them) are actually based on real drive-in theater ads.

That was a film about humanity scared by their compressed emotions ( fight and flight instincts). When we do not accept our flaws, then compress it. It comes out in chronic physical pain and mental illness like narcissism and co dependency. We must take responsibility for our emotions and express aggressive behavior in positive, healthy way.

@Mackenzie Mclane below (I can't reply to the comment fsr), this film dates from around 2005 or 2006. It's called "Follow the Sun" and was created by an award-winning film production company. It can't be dismissed as "trying to be like DHMIS" since it predates DHMIS by many years.
The announcer sounds just like the announcer from Dr. Tran! I kept expecting him to say, "And now our feature presentation: Doctor Tran!" The humor here is very similar to theirs, too. :)
I remember seeing this before, and for some reason I keep thinking that there's some social commentary in this. like the 50's mentality has completly screwed everything up or something.
My local playhouse has a summer movie line up. This year one of the double features was Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th. This was our intermission!
The creepiest part is when the "Refreshment Stand" words rumble, the Dog's head shakes rapidly and the mushrooms grow on the burger patty in time lapse.
