Straightening bent trailer axles with simple tools

U think a 4 ton Bottle Jack will work for my 2 3/8” diameter tube trailer axle? And, what if we don’t have an I-Beam?? Any suggestions are much appreciated!!

I just did that yesterday did not remove the axils, used a cut off wheel cut the top of the axils about a third of the diameter of the pipe. Froor jacked them up 5/8" checked Camber, welded up cut. Let cool with Jack still holding pressure. Worked perfect🎉

What do u mean u “cut the tops of the axle”?

@@artest7 I cut the axils tubes from the top , down about 2-3rds of the diameter of the pipe with cut off wheel. Jacked up directy under cut. Ground out the cut for 100 percent weld . It has carried max load 6-7 times all is good.

Best method I've seen so far,my small trailer badly bent ,there is hope for it ,I got 6 ton jack stands ,got lots of chains,need to get I- beam or railroad tie

Nice !!...the axle im having issues with is quite a bit different...its and axle out of an atv ..solid pretty standard but bent pretty bad! Question: can I do the same kinda metal bending like your video except with atv axle and steel pipes that fit snug over both axle ends to extend width for more leverage and control in bending back straight ? It's bent down one one side and up on the other unlike your axle that waz over grossed.. hmm I'm rethinking this now ..this atv I bought dirt cheap because it fell off top of truck on the freeway at 60mph and bent the rear axle and broke the fender plastic ....I'm worried it will break before it gives again?? Any thoughts or ideas any body ...( I could purchase a new axle but what fun is that?) Thanx!!

Buy a bigger axle or maybe truss the axle so it doesn't bend so easy .
