This is my dream college because of the vet program and because it's away from my boring home state South Carolina (they have good schools like Furman and Clemson but it's hella boring here the only thing I look forward her is the fair in the summer)
That sounds awesome! I might do the same. For now, I'll be transferring as a psych major in the fall, but social work was my initial plan. Life is so uncertain, so we'll see what happens haha. Good luck :)
Senior in high school and just got accepted, this is on my top 3 list, but I’m worried about paying for that out-of-state price tag, were you in-state or not?
I am out-of-state, so I totally understand that! I would recommend applying for every scholarship you can. I ended up getting multiple scholarships that have helped a lot to bring down that tuition rate.
Life with Zoë did you apply to CSU specific scholarships or ones from a scholarship website? Also how does the forming work, is your roommate just random? Thanks for answering my questions, it’s a tough choice!
All of the scholarships I received were from CSU directly. One is a donor scholarship and some are merit awards based on academic performance. You should get access to the CSUSA (CSU scholarship application) once you are admitted, and then you can go from there. As for roommates, after you get assigned to a dorm, you can either choose a roommate through Roomsync or get a random one. That will happen probably next summer. To help make a decision about CSU, I would suggest making a pros and cons list and compare it to other schools you are interested in. Why are you interested in CSU specifically? And what are you planning to study?
Life with Zoë Well I’ve lived in Tx my whole life, really want a change of scenery lol. Love the weather, the mountains, skiing hiking etc. I’m interested in Pre-Med and Business administration/finance to go into being a personal financial advisor (not sure yet). I’ve got it down to Texas, Colorado Christian, CSU, and A&M. A pro con list is a great idea too, something I’m going to do tonight, thanks so much!!
I understand the change in scenery part lol (I grew up in New Mexico). I will be honest that I do not know much about the Business school here because I have only been involved with the sciences, but let me know if you have any other questions about CSU! Good luck! :)
I wish I went here so badly. I live in Denver and had to do commuter school at CU-Denver as it was the most economical option. Sometimes I’ll drive up here to visit friends. I get there at 1pm, what seems like five minutes later it’s 10 at night and I always feel like I’m leaving home, not going home.
Really great video! I just got accepted and this really helped me get a feel for the school. I do have one question though- what is the weather like? Does it snow a lot?
Congrats on getting accepted! The weather is all over the place honestly 😂. It can snow a lot but then be super sunny and warm the next day. The amount of snow is never anything too crazy - usually just a few inches.
I love almost everything about this school! Just visited for a day tho...so awesome video! One question tho, do they offer communications majors? (Or majors that don't offer alot of math lol) or is the school mostly ALL science and math?
Yes, the do have communications! And they have tons of non math and science majors lol so don't worry :) it's a big school, so they offer pretty much everything.
Please Zoë make a video analyzing the representation of your university in the game The Last Of Us! (There's a chapter of the game that takes place on your university). I believe it would be very cool.
Now that I look at it more closely, you actually can't see the library from the photo. It's all part of the Student Center. That part on the right is part of the student center where there's a little theater area.
@@LifeWithZoeee I did my own research. It's the Lory Student Center Theater. It does not appear to be little inside. It's in the background of the movie filmed there in 1977.
I know moving in can be exciting yet nerve-racking! Just be yourself :) everyone is super nice and helpful here, so I think you will have a smooth transition. And as long as you and your roommate are respectful of each other's space, you should get along fine!
hi! i'm going to be applying for colleges next year and i really hope i get into this one! i was wondering if you've ever been to braiden hall and what it's like because that's the one i would try to live in. also in your opinion is the campus pretty? anyway this is a great video thanks!!!

+Jennifer Logan Yay that's exciting! I have really enjoyed the psych department here! Great faculty and research. If you have any more specific questions feel free to PM me!
What a beautiful campus! I will be a senior in August and CSU is my top school. Are the students here friendly? Are the professors here care about the students?
I'm not sure. I know they have graphic design, but CSU is honestly not known for their digital art. I know this because my brother is earning his degree in Animation and Digital Effects but not at CSU because they did not have a good program for this.
Sorry that's probably not the answer you were looking for. I'll admit that I do not know much about the program besides the experience my brother had when he looked into it. I would recommend researching it a bit more on CSU's website!
So I’ve actually been admitted to Colorado State for the spring semester this year. I’m living in Michigan currently so Colorado is going to be a big change for me. Are there any tips you have for me as an incoming freshman?
Congrats! Welcome to the ram family! Some tips that come to mind would be to get involved (clubs, sports, music, whatever is your jam), go to all of your classes, get to know your professors, bring a bike (Fort Collins and CSU are very bike friendly), and take advantage of CSU's many resources to help you succeed (library, rec center, free counseling, tutoring, etc.). People here are really nice and friendly 😊 let me know if you have any other questions!
It really depends on the class. I've been in classes with 6 people, but I've also been in classes with 300 people. It also depends on your major. I'm in a very big major (psychology) so I would say that, on average, my classes are around 50-70 people. There's a lot of variety, so you will probably have some big and some small.
Colorado in general is not that diverse, so CSU is predominantly white, but there are still a lot of students and faculty from all kinds of backgrounds.
It depends a lot on which dorm hall you are in. Some are bigger than others, and the styles are different (e.g. single, double suite, community, etc). But overall I thought the dorms were pretty nice. I have some other videos on my channel from several years ago in my dorm if you'd like to check them out!

Hi. Kl vid . I've seen others tho. Can't say if I'm really going to attend this university since I'm In a country but I do plan and hope I can do uni over there. I'd probably come to Colorado tho . I get three choices of which state and im most likely to come to this one. Planning on going in the research department
I am being recruited for track here and also and considering going but the out of state price tag isnt the prettiest, how much money did csu give you for out of state?
I might be able to get some for track but not sure only got the recruitment letter last week so, also im from arkansas so I think itd be cool to go somewhere far for a little bit.
Okay thank you! Ill comment here again in like a year and tell you what I decided on doing haha. Sucks you're a senior i guess now because you'll be long gone by the time I went.
It is a large campus, but it doesn't feel big to me because I usually only stick to the places that are related to my major, so I get to know everyone in my department really well. It's easy to find smaller clubs and activities to help it not seem overwhelming. And everyone here is super nice. And I do not think it's a party school. Tbh I've never been to a party haha. And yeah I'll be graduating in May, so I'll be gone by the time you get here, but let me know if you end up coming!
Hey! My name is also Zoe and I'm considering changing majors to psychology and transferring!! I'm currently at Penn State and finding the classes to be very big and lacking a lot of connection with teachers. What are the class sizes like at csu?
Hey Zoe! Class sizes vary a lot. I've had anything from 6-300 people, but I would say most in psychology are around 40-50. As long as you attend regularly and sit near the front it's fine! I've gotten to know professors really well, especially in psychology, because they are all very kind and genuinely care about helping you succeed. If you participate in class and/or go to office hours, it's very easy to connect with them! :)
I currently live in Oklahoma as a junior in high school, but I was born in Colorado and have family there as well. Does that have any impact on out of state tuition prices or would i have to become a resident of Colorado before being accepted? Also is their a building specific to the architecture/construction science program on campus?
You cannot get in-state tuition unless you are a resident of Colorado. Being in-state or out-of-state does not change your chances for admission - it just means you will have to pay more money to go if you don't live in Colorado. Does that answer your question? As for architecture/construction, I know that CSU has a good Construction Management major, so I'd suggest looking into that! :)
Hey! I was recently admitted to Colorado and plan to go there next fall. My only concern is housing. Is dorm living required for freshman or can I live in the campus apartments (Aggie Village?) or can I even live in an apartment off campus? Or would you even recommend doing that? Thanks!
Congrats on getting accepted! Dorm living is pretty much required. I think there a maybe a few exceptions, but it probably requires a lot of paperwork, and I don't know anyone who has done that.
