Aramus : I have no choice my brother. I will use my most secret weapons Cyrus : What is it ? Aramus : This recording of Captain Boreale speech Cyrus : NOOOOOOO !!!
Commander Hairgel: why cyrus? Cyrus: Indrick. Boreale. Hairgel: (turns to the rest of the squad a single tear gliding down his cheek) Let him go... He's suffered enough...
- Cyrus: "Captain Boreale, who walked three companies into the slaughter of Kaurava. And don't get me started on his oratorical skills. BATTLE BRUTHARS! SPESS MEHREENS, TODEH TEH ENEMEH IS AT OUR DOAR! It makes me sick."
Enemeh is at our spess. If we die this day we have fehled the Chaos. This is war. WAR! You will die for blood. We have Blood Raven's steel. Shoot with our bolters bruvas. We know our fureh and we will do it. Traitors will have gloreh. Fewlish heroes die for this madnes! DEATH FOR THE SO BALD AND SO FEWLISH EMPRAH!
It's pretty obvious that Cyrus has gone full potato at this point. At least he's not talking to his bolter, or trying to save you by stomping on your face.
@skewCZ In Retribution one of the characters, The Ancient, is revealed to be Tarkus, who took a vowe of silence as amends for killing his traitor battle-brother who had fought alongside him on Kronus. The only other SM in CR who had also fought on Kronus was Avitus(Thule doesn't count).
How so? Cyrus has always been the most cynical and serious of them all. I'm not surprised whatsoever that he could become corrupt, except for maybe Avitus, he has the least respect for the Blood Ravens chapter, especially their leadership.
@outlawstar15a2 What he means is aftermath of their victory when Thule was shaken by what he discovered there and because of that he was demoted and was exiled to Caldaris. Also the badly handled sitution between the chapter and cadian guard led many factions inculding some space marine chapters to mistrust the Blood Ravens.
Honestly, at least in Dawn of War, the Imperial Guard always seem to get really *good* commanders who are backstabbed by Eldar (Winter Assault), murdered by Space Marines (Dark Crusade), or lose a 100 baneblades before getting kumped by orks (Soulstorm).
Jeez. I've heard of some bad leaders, even amongst the Space Marines, but THREE COMPANIES!? THREE!? Honestly, if ALL of the survivors of Kauruva turned, not only would I understand, but I would give them my blessing. XD
@RX117STARoTOAPRIME I agree, however we can't read whatever report that Angelos made though however it may have been written Cryrus obviously didn't feel he was given the credit and honor for fighting the Tyranids longer than Angelos.
fuck the steve blume, how he could even dare to blaim our awesome commanders?! Gabriel is maybe the greatest living blood raven now, im w40k fan mostly thanks to him, he always know what to do, and he never faltered, neither after Cyrene, nor after Tartarus. I just fucking love tat guy (so shame he no longer have the voice actor from DoW 1). Davien is another great commander, the one who carry for his mann´s most..... and Boreale? Well he got ASTARTES PATTERN BALDNESS xD
I understand his hatred against Boreale but really? Against Angelos? Dude, Angelos helped you guys when you guys almost died. Also that's the reason why in Retribution in order to find his own Retribution from his sins he went face to face with Kyras. Cyrus shame on you.
Sorry Relic. You can't make anything related to SPESS MAHREENS epic, no matter how much effort you put into making the extravagant betrayal of one of the chapter's greatest scout sergeants. Even with Cyrus's badassry, "WE HAVE FEHLED TEH EMPERA" puns just pop into everyone's head.
I've got to disagree with Cyrus on the leaders he shows such negativity against. Thule and Angelos are both major badasses throughout the Dawn of War series, and their role in Tartarus and Kronus were both pretty awesome. ...Captain Boreale however....NO. HE HAS FEHLED TEH EMPRAH.
Angelos literally released the daemon of the Maledictum on Tartarus that haunted the entire Dawn of War series until Retribution, and Thule on Kronus was a stubborn, blockheaded idiot who did nothing by try and PUUUURGE everything including loyal Imperial Guard all to protect some 'secrets', and led to the blood ravens inviting distrust and causing only more war
He literally could have just said "Captain Boreale" in his message and I would have betrayed the Blood Ravens with him.
+Extra Girth SPESS MEHRENS!
STEEHL REEHN!!
Aramus : I have no choice my brother. I will use my most secret weapons
Cyrus : What is it ?
Aramus : This recording of Captain Boreale speech
Cyrus : NOOOOOOO !!!
This message is considered as a crime in BOREALUM
"For once, be quiet and listen" he says, to the one character that hasn't uttered a single word across both games
Not really, he yells his lungs out at the battlefield :P
“BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHH!” The commander at 30 second intervals. (Or however long battle cry takes to recharge.)
I think it's some intentional fourth wall humor from the devs. I like it.
Commander Hairgel: why cyrus?
Cyrus: Indrick. Boreale.
Hairgel: (turns to the rest of the squad a single tear gliding down his cheek) Let him go... He's suffered enough...
Would like but 69 is enough :P
But it was Kyras who put Boreale in charge before he was ready
He will find peace in our ranks and his lost brothers will be welcomed in the warp now,
Loyalists
Cyrus: For once, be quiet and listen.....
Force Commander: ..........?
Cyrus: Ohh yeah, right.
NOH! THE CODEX ASTARTES NEHMES THIS MANOUVER CHAOS TRAITOR!
WAI WULD CYRUS BE SOH BAWLD AND SO FEWLISH TUH BETREH DE BLUD REHVENS? THE CODECKS HES NOH REASUHNENG FOHR DIS HAIRESEH
FIVE COMPANIES
*Borealum*
so Bawld and so Fewlish
If you listen closely you can notice that the Encoding is actually every character's version of the traitor speech meshed together :3
i can mostly only hear avitus
its just avitus's voice distorted.
I sensually whisper into Cyrus' ear.... _Borealum_ ....
NOH! U HAVE FEHLED SCOUT, ENEMEH ISN'T AT OUR PERIMETER.
Indrick Boreale STEEL REIN CAPTAIN BOREALE! IT IS YOU WHO FEHLED THE EMPRAH! NO!
U have fehled the Emprah. U are the Chaos Traitor!
Accusing me for heresy Captain? U sounds like a heretic! And yeet so BALD AND FOOLISH! U are no Spess Mahreen.
By the God-Emprah, Captain Boreale has lost his mind! BRUVA I AM NEED OF ASSISTANCE WITH THIS MAN!
It's pretty obvious that Cyrus has gone full potato at this point. At least he's not talking to his bolter, or trying to save you by stomping on your face.
Cyrus: For once, be quiet and listen.....
Force Commander: ..........?
Cyrus: Did I fucking stutter?!
Oh come on Cyrus, Soulstorm wasn't THAT bad.
Yes. it was worse.
It banned Scott McNeil from voicing Davian Thule in Dawn of War II.
@@flashn00b why?
@@borgri5871 Indrick Boreale
@@flashn00b wait, is boreale voice actor the original guy behind thule voice?

"For once be quiet and listen"
Commander who's never talked : -_-
cyrus got corrupted because his students dont learn from his lessons? that explain why my school teacher when mad.
Glad it wasn't Cyrus that was traitor in my game. He sounds like the one that's right in this one.
Ironically, Avitus is the heartwrencher because he's spot on.
How so? Cyrus has always been the most cynical and serious of them all. I'm not surprised whatsoever that he could become corrupt, except for maybe Avitus, he has the least respect for the Blood Ravens chapter, especially their leadership.
he disappears when your Commander reaches full corruption, but comes back when it lowers
@outlawstar15a2

Wait I thought 5 companies of Blood Ravens were lost in Soulstorm.
+Kargath Bladefist (WoD) Retcon, my orcish friend.
He took five companies, but maybe only three of them were annihilated.
Sounds logic
ocolor well sounds waaaay better than losing 5...
It's still a great failure. And we don't even know who killed them all.
Steve Blum. Steve Blum: Steve blum, Steve. Blum.
Speaking of incompetent leaders I wonder if Cyrus knows of how frequently the imperial guardsmen are saddled with incompetent commanders
He had me convinced until he made the mistake to shittalk Thule
And Angelos
@cotloner Amen. Guess the commander is like Morn from Star Trek DS9.
Also, almost all of his students were slaughtered because of the orders of one of his commanders.
Its funny that Cyrus tells you to be quiet and listen, because thats all you really do in all of the campaign
well he was right about Boreale. Can't blame him really.
Boreale: . . . NOH! YOU HAVE FEHLED! AS A SPESS MEHREEN!!
Leandros: :'(
Jeez. I've heard of some bad leaders, even amongst the Space Marines, but THREE COMPANIES!? THREE!?
Honestly, if ALL of the survivors of Kauruva turned, not only would I understand, but I would give them my blessing. XD
3 companies? Didn't Boreale lost 5 companies in Soulstorm?
@th1nkman anytime the Black Legion does anything it should be accompanied by Benny Hill music.
@RX117STARoTOAPRIME I agree, however we can't read whatever report that Angelos made though however it may have been written Cryrus obviously didn't feel he was given the credit and honor for fighting the Tyranids longer than Angelos.
@CommissarTails SPESS MAHREENS!! WE HAVE FEHLED THE EMPRAH!!
Oh, Cyrus. They are still human. They are still mortal. Centuries of life and he hasn't learned this.
Being human does not excuse incompetence. I'd say only Thule was free from it, but he was loyal to his core, even when serving a madman like Kayrus.
my question is what happens if the force commander has the highest coruption here do you (the force commander) become the traitor? I MUST KNOW!!!!
where's Dreadnought Thule?
When your corruption reach too high he refuses to serve with you
@SinDawg030 WE HAVE FAIEHLD THE EMPRAH!!
This is probably gonna sound stupid, but, where did Thule go from the line up on the right?
@wittyreviewer He leaves if your corruption becomes too high
thule leave the team if the corruption is too high

Avitus.
Where is Thule?
@takashi0100 METUL BAWKSES?!
I kept mine as high as possible, yet, he only quit before the last mission.
Whats the canon betrayal?
Avitus
I understand his hatred against Boreale but really? Against Angelos? Dude, Angelos helped you guys when you guys almost died. Also that's the reason why in Retribution in order to find his own Retribution from his sins he went face to face with Kyras. Cyrus shame on you.

Commander Boreale= SPESH MEREHNS FOR TEH EMPRAH!!!
Why did he say the Kronus "debacle"? Didn't the Blood Ravens canonically win the Kronus campaign?
He cant live, he shat on Boreal.
THE CODEX DOES NOT APPROVE!!!!!
Steve Blum goes Full Heretic :^)
Failbaddon's 13 fail crusades
What a hair-etic...

@wittyreviewer He left because Big Dick is a chaos dog
God, even Martellus' was more believable than this one
Yeah, despite losing over 1/3 warriors of the Chapter. Really nothing
@EricksG15 Avitus.
