I honestly love this channel. The production value, the music, the no nonsense/ no frill commentary is just perfect.
Thanks!
I appreciate you taking time to bring attention to the "uncool kids." Most Tag stuff I see on RUclips is just hate.
TAG has some really good stuff, in my opinion. It's hard to call them "underrated" because they're huge, but I do think the watch community should give them more respect.
@@YoureTerrific I agree, and they're not perfect either, but some of the hate is unwarranted. Sometimes it feels like people hate for no other reason but that they're Tag.
People love hate . I drive subaru. Like tag heuer. Had a Lexus. Slowly off the beaten track
Tag being "uncool" to watch snobs, is why i got one, but mostly because i like the look of it a quartz Aquaracer with the white dial.
I think it's because of some of their watches which have a too extravagant in your face type of colors, and complexions, some of their movements and their sales strategy reputation as well as commercials and value worth which causes them criticism in some sense. However I still think they produce some of the best watch designs of all time
This is the first time I'm seeing this watch and I think I love it. Also, beautiful setting and awesome music as always. Thank you.
It’s pretty neat.
Your reviews never disappoint. Truly impressive video, fantastic commentary and kick ass setting!
Thanks so much
A friend of mine has bought one of these - it’s a terrific watch - and has great echoes of the iconic 80s original, which was a watch I always lusted after as a kid!
I've had many Tag Heuer watches in my collection... this is the only one that's survived. And, it's not going anywhere. I love this watch.
TAG Heuer lost their mojo some time ago. I'm glad to see that you found it. Great review and fantastic location. Your videos continue to surprise and delight.
Thanks so much
Love it. Fully lumed dials is NOT trick...it is incredibly useful to read the time deep into the night.
In Comparison I would definetly prefer a Sinn U50 over that Tag heuer :)
That’s a good one.
Or a Damasko. My 2 favourite brands for "toolwatches"
Fantastic review! I loved two particular things on this watch; #1- the sliding clasp adjustment is absolutely brilliant, especially if it would work with metal link bracelets. #2- the cyclops, I think it is highly unique, not to mention highly functional.
I'm new to the channel, and I must say, you're so honest and casual about watches, I loved it, the watch community has so much BS, this is refreshing to watch. Keep it up!
Evan, you're reviews are getting better and BETTER! Can't believe it! At the moment you are my personal number 1 in that regard! I love your different shots, especially from 'real life' angles & with natural lighting! This gives a watch a totally different appearance compared to most of the studio recordings you see elsewhere. Thanks a lot & keep it up!
Thank you, Daniel! I really appreciate it.
Saw it in person and it is remarkable. Feels well made in the hands.
I agree
Love the watch!
Love the b-roll!
Love the setting on the beach!
Love the music!
Love the voice over and cynicism!
Love the video!
Compliments all round!
And I think I need to build a night diver homage! 😉
My favorite watch content channel! TAG takes a lot of heat, but I like this piece. Bold and different is good. There are lots of watches that are perfectly pleasant, but say nothing. With a round, 7” wrist, this may not work. But it has my attention. I’m currently wearing my Seiko SLA059, which is not a small watch either. Keep up the excellent work!
Thanks so much. That MM300 is spectacular!
Stellar as usual, you could make a brilliant video about virtually any watch at this point, I'm pretty sure.
About the watch itself, I am not to sure...
I tried it on just a few days ago but also tried the tribute to 844, wich stands out much more on this new aquaracer lineup.
Love the new clasp, love a polarizing watch too, would definitly send some of mine for you to review if I wasn't based in Europe.
That 844 tribute is pretty cool.
All haters aside, I got myself the lume dial version, such a nice watch. The straps looks like it’s almost part of the case, such a nice fit. The dial is awesome in daylight, I love the contrast, but it truely shines (pun intended ;)) when it’s dark. Love it!
How long does the Lume last?
@@Ranjo5199 i also have one, the brilliant brightness of the full lume dial... I would say 30 minutes tops before it's no longer visible, however the lume on the hour hands, triangle and the other three markers lasts all through the night (faintly but bright enough that you can still read the time in the middle of the night).
Pacific City! One of my favorite beaches. Every oregon kid has got to tumble down the dunes at least once.
Or a dozen times like my daughter.
FIrst modern TAG, i actually like! Great looks and a conversation starter too!
Just bought this and its on the way! Im so excited after watching your review at least 500 times and analyzing every little detail of the watch. Im a huge Bond fan and despite me wanting the Omega NTTD, i cant afford that. So instead I went the unconventional and less traveled route with the Night Diver
So, what do you think of the watch?
@@patrickhennessy6531love it! Better quality than I expected and its wears great. Only issue is id like to throw it on a nato strap and the rubber strap doesn’t wanna come off
Thanks for putting out such high quality videos! Also, I love the music that you find for the backgrounds. Cheers!
Beautiful watch and great video as usual! Well done Sir.
Beautiful videography Evan!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it!
This channel is without a doubt one of the best produced watch channel in YT , absolutely beautiful Visual and audio Stuff
Thanks so much!
Take a good look Rolex... this is how to use a cyclops properly 👍
Very nice watch and most likely the first Tag Heuer for me.
I agree with you
This watch seems well-executed. It has a great identity of its own.
It certainly does
I'd love to see a 40-41mm version of this as well! I love that black and mint - it's beautiful
Pacific city. Nice! My own neck of the woods.
Also I really like this watch.
🌊
You and tag knocked it out of the park. Nice intro and broll. Tag did a good job with the cyclops and strap but it’s a hefty size. Unfortunate the bezel isn’t fully lumed.
Thanks
I don't know if it's because I have a relatively flat wrist, but this thing really hugs my 6.5 inch wrist. I mean, the fit is phenomenal.
I think I still prefer the green titanium version, but as an overall package this is a really cool piece!
I really like that one too. Can’t decide which I like best.
I appreciate the weird people who make watch videos. And you, my friend do my favorite watch related videos.
You’re too kind.
Great video! I really liked the outdoor video, way to change it up. Keep up the good work!
I don't like the watch but I sticked 'till the end just for the sheer quality of the video!
Tritium is THE best lume on any watch. I have it on my Luminox Sentry. Wonderful and yes I am still alive 6 years after buying it.
Great review! I like to black matte color case of the watch it looks very simple and elegant. It can be use everyday. Overall great watch! 😊👌
This Aquaracer is in my bucket list for sure
Totally agree with admiring watches that I don’t like more than one’s I’m indifferent to - nice review
Love the watch- hate the 6 o’clock date window!
Love the out doors footage. Great video and cool watch!
Thanks
I'm glad Tag decided to look back at this era for inspiration again but ... I wish they actually brought it back at 40mm and as a quartz version (don't block me). I think it'd have fit better as the 'tool watch' vibe they were going for. - Han
I would love that. 40mm, quartz, black bracelet.
I think this watch is gorgeous. I’m a Rolex fanboy and I think this watch is amazing!
Love or hate Tag Heuer, they have many icons in their collection and most non-watch collectors will mention them along with Rolex!
Amazing review as always! I really like where Tag is going but the thing I don't understand is the pricing. At that price point you got so many options like the Breitling Superocean, Sinn U50, Oris Aquis Cal 400, etc. I know with most Tag's you can get a discount; but still...
Tough competition, for sure. But it’s on par with those, I’m my opinion.
Great video review! Does the lume light up when it gets dim without a torch beaming down on its face pal?
This watch embodies “non” tool watch. I purchased the silver dial 2 weeks ago and took it diving right away. Bezel is worse than my seamaster to the point you physically can’t rotate underwater and the glare off the dial rendered the watch totally useless. But it sure looks good out of the water!
I have the 1000 with the silver bezel and jubilee bracelet, love it.
pretty psyched to see tag heuer taking divers seriously again
Pretty psyched to see you commenting on my videos.
This watch currently selling for over $4100. $750 price jump. Is it still worth it?
I've been wanting a black sports watch. If this was 40mm I'd buy one (6.75" wrist). Not a big Tag fan, but the price is right and it's cool.
the best tag, by far. Great video
As you said need to be able adjust the clasp on wrist. My Strapcode can be very easily done on wrist.
The Muhle Glashutte SAR rescue timer has the "under the glass" cyclops too
Good info! Thanks.
Great watch . I’ve been wanting a black diver .
👍
Great video. Interesting watch. I still just don't understand a cyclops though. Never once have I seen a watch and thought this is great, if only it had a cyclops........
Ha. Same.
Another great video thanks. Always enjoy your content.
Quick question, what are your sandy boots doing on the table? I don’t have a problem with it, but find it interesting. 😉
They were drying out in the sun.
Love the review as always. Great work Evan! Even love the watch, but never mind that - what are those boots? And were you just wearing the one when you were filming the other in shot?
Boots linked in the video description. I do believe I was shoeless.
@@YoureTerrific so they are. Thanks again. Keep up the great work!
I came back to get the specs on this one, ugh 43x50. Maybe next time. Thanks Evan.
"killed the bad guy very slowly....with the radiation from his watch" 😂😂😂
Love this so much. Just wish it was smaller. Would have bought one immediately if it was a couple mm smaller
Great review - really fun piece
Thanks
A great review 👍 of a great watch.Your truly terrific 💯
What is that song?
I love the recessed cyclops. I have a traditional Rolex cyclops but dust and dirt get stuck around it...this would eliminate that.
Really interesting watch, thanks for reviewing.
👍
The setting here reminders me of the opening scene in “The Sandpiper” with Elizabeth Taylor & her husband at the time, Richard Burton and Eva Marie Saint. I wished the soundtrack “The Shadow of Your Smile” had been used here but then, maybe the very informative monologue would have gotten drowned out.
U had me at "measure once, cut twice" XD
That’s me
The only thing I don't like about this watch is the octagonal hour markers. If they just made them round, I'd have no issues with this watch.
Brilliant review and vid. I like the watch. Thank you.
Thanks
Great Video. I believe just the indices/hands were tritium; dial itself was of a more general phosphorescent composition.
Oh, thanks for the correcting.
I honestly dont mind the cyclops lens but it just doesn't look right at 6 O'clock to me. If it were at 3 O'Clock I would really consider this.
Is it sapphire glass ?
as a child if you had those pair of shoes which lit up as you walked, you would want this watch
Haha, yes!
Such an awesome review!
Great vid as usual.
Wrist sized and noted as always 😏
I have an Aquaracer and I think it’s pretty alright.
Don’t the experts have a sook about the plastic retainer for the movement…
Oh dear, I have better things to sook about like why is it so f’n hot and I’m on my last stubby…
They better not look under the bonnet of their BMW or Mercedes’ if they don’t like plastic…🤣🤣🤣
Bored people will find anything to complain about.
Love the two or should that be three tone dial lume. Sadly would prefer no date whatsoever. Never needed it yet at the bottom of any ocean. Also a new design black titanium bracelet.
Tag... nearly there but not quite. Really wouldn't take much.
Almost perfect. I can't stand when they add polished steel like the hands and markers at 12,3,6 and 9 on a straight forward tactical DLC watch. Kinda throws off the tactical aspect of it. Replace the steel with black coating around the lume would be more of the right look.
Great review, as usual! Any idea what the lug width is on the new 43mm AR? I can't seem to find it on the site or rather anywhere. Thanks!
I can’t remember, but I listed it in the video. Watch it.
@@YoureTerrific I did watch the video, thanks. Which is why I asked the question afterward, you mention all of the dimensions but not that one.
Oh, I’m sorry. You’re right. 22mm.
@@YoureTerrific No problem thank you I appreciate it! Keep up the great reviews :)
Very cool watch I work at IMS so I have a thing for TAGs. Would love to see them make a vintage homage to an Andretti Autavia
IMS?
@@YoureTerrific Indianapolis Motor Speedway
You took a dive watch to the beach? Who would do such a crazy thing?
Bulgari octo finissimo when? dont forget the chrono GMT variant.
Which lumibrite dial diver is better?
Tag Heuer Aquaracer or Citizen Promaster Aqualand?
I wish I knew
Is the location the same beach where Goonies was filmed?
Very close!
Very good take on watches nowadays. A clean tool watch is more boring than a model that dares to go off the beaten path
Yep
1:04 From the Wiki, tritium is a low energy beta emitter, can not go through the skin, only harmful if eaten, drunk or absorbed by the skin, and its sitting in a metal container, HTO has a short biological half-life in the human body of 7 to 14 days, which both reduces the total effects of single-incident ingestion and precludes long-term bioaccumulation of HTO from the environment
and it is not Radium, like they used on vintage rolex watches, which in one case the owners of ian flemings watch were so freaked out about they removed the dial to remove the isotope in general from it, also from the wiki under radium:
Tritium emits very low-energy beta radiation (even lower-energy than the beta radiation emitted by promethium)[9] which cannot penetrate the skin,[46] rather than the penetrating gamma radiation of radium,
Where do I purchase one at best price?
Hopefully it's just the camera angle but the cyclops window looks off-center. That'd drive me nuts.
Seems good to me
I have a Bradley by Eone if your interested. Could make for an interesting video being that it is a watch designed for the blind.
Hey @YoureTerrific, I have a 40th anniversary Heuer Monza Reissue, and would love to see you review it!
Thanks for the offer! I’m thinking about. Very kind of you.
Great Video - Greater Watch ❤
I don't dislike it but that cyclope it's killing me lol
I need this watch!
Instant follow you’re entertaining af
I wish for Tag Heuer to make the ETA 251.264 quartz chrono night diver.
Tag Heuer Aquaracer quartz chrono diver.
Lumibrite dial, ETA 251.264.
Handsome watch
great review. great videos overall. this watch... i really like a lot.
Much appreciated!
Could you imagine if they redid the pvd jubilee bracelet?!
I’d love it if it were DLC.
I know right were you filmed this on the Orgon coast!
Beautiful
It’s measure twice cut once - type person
But I’m the opposite
I like your vids man
Hi would like a review of the longines hydrconquest
Find one for me to borrow and I’ll review it.
