I could see reasons for people liking this or not liking it, but one of the weirdest things to me is that Kylo’s voice is really different and sounds like a parody, not the real thing. I wonder why they made it sound like that.

At 0:55 you can see the Rey actress getting down to pick up a different lightsaber with a hard blade.
She does this in every single version of the footage that has surfaced.
This clearly shows that the fancy lightsaber they showed off some months ago isn't ready for swordplay.
Around 4:13 you can see the hard blade
I feel like they could have found a better way to make the saber switch less noticeable, like have her walk behind a column or get force pushed so that she's out of view of the audience when she switches
It probably won't ever be. The retracting blade is about as sturdy as an extended tape measure.

This clearly shows the whole experience is a high school play with band camp cheering. Total bomb.
They couldn't like think of her being force pushed at the start to fall to the ground and then switch sabers?

I also thought this but the speech was suppose to be like her big entrance. Disney sacrificed story and speech and dramatics over the stunt work and overall production. It all looks kind of sloppy.
Like when Rey obviously is strapping herself in when she gets pulled by kylo? And you can see the curtain behind the door when she escapes atleast build a hall in the back to look like part of the scenery.
This is kinda weak for disney standards of one of its biggest ips.

@@natman2939 The first one is basically like a tape measure. It would flop around in a fight. Then she swaps it out for an actual dueling quality saber.
This almost feels like an inside version of the stunt show they did on opening day for Rise of the Resistance. If I had to choose which one did it better, I would have to say that the one for Rise was a little bit more exciting.

The choreography here is much better than the actual fight.
I have a much better idea to reveal Reys lightsaber,
1. Ignite the lightsaber
2. Have Kylo Ren imediatly force push her to the ground.
3. While on the ground, she dropps the fancy lightsaber and picks up the fighting one while she is down so no one sees the complete obvious switch.
Where's my paycheck Disney for that idea?
At the very least, they need a bigger mis-direct. That would be the perfect time to bring Chewie in and draw everyone's attention away.
But that would show her getting beat for a second and we all know she doesn't struggle or lose ever... 🙄

The Dark Helmet fight was more realistic and entertaining.

Wait if I remember the starship storyline takes place after the last jedi and before the rise of skywalker, so should Kylo not have his helmet because he destroyed it in the last jedi? And wait, Rey's lightsaber was destoryed aswell and idk it has it or not but I do not see the straps or anything on that saber.
The helmet is more recognizabl for people. It's really just a minor thing. If this actually happens in cannon that he probably didn't have the helmet. It happens all the time in Disney Star wars.
The radar dish on the Millennium Falcon is also the one from Episodes VII & VIII even though it got knocked off in Last Jedi. For the timeline, it should either have a round dish or none at all.

Ya know, that wouldn't be a bad idea to actually use different timelines or eras from Star Wars on this cruise. And you never know what timeline your cruise will be based on. Will it be during the era of the High Republic set during the prequels? Will it be during the Rebellion era of the original films? Or perhaps it will be during the era of the Resistance set in the sequels? Maybe it will be a little more vague to allow crossover from characters such as Din Djarin and Grogu?
They should totally randomize the eras that this takes place in.

3:10 the way Kylo grabbed Rey’s lightsaber seems very nice
This starcrusier was a BAD idea from the start. I think they should've paid Star Wars Theory and used his idea of a temple where half is devoted to the Jedi and seeing characters aligned with that side like Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Anakin, Luke, Yoda, Rey, etc and same for the other half devoted to the Sith so you'd see Palpatine, Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, etc and maybe even be taught lightsaber moves from holocrons and at the end you become a Jedi Knight or Sith Lord.
It's a better representation of the saga and for those who want to experience both sides having to pay twice. I'm just saying if you're paying $6000 you're entitled to a one of a kind experience and most would like to say they got to train with Dooku and learn his Form 2 style, or Luke and Anakin.
But that would involve respecting what came before and celebrating it and Disney Star Wars doesn't do that.
@A21-EDITS also I would love to see a neutral place where there could be a cantina, some star wars based video games and maybe a show, also I would like that the lightsaber training had blindfolds that are actually vr where you could see the robot through the force, also more new characters and a story for all of them.

@@rileygagnon6917 Nobody likes the sequels. Original Trilogy is classic and has a bigger connection with people. It makes more sense to do original Trilogy, but Disney has a clause with George Lucas and they are too cheap to pay him for yhe rights to use OT characters accept for Chubaca.
@@Lil_Angry_Bitch it divided fans but the general audience which would be the people at Disney world liked them. And they have the rights to all the characters, they bought it. Why would they pay him anything? And I think they are fine with eachother. He's invited on set all the time and each director talks to him for advice before starting each movie.

Kind of like a tape measurer that goes outwards instead of retracts, on it there are a lot of lights attached to give you the feeling it's a lightsaber.

Even with everything else, the part of this I can't get over how bad the special effects for Rey (and one time Kylo) getting shot at were. It just full on looks like nothing is happening while Rey stands there swing at air for no reason.

@@CoercedJab i was a disney fan long before i was a universal fan but the shift in theme park entertainment from 2016 to now has been very interesting cause i now consider Universal the one to beat and Disney is barely able to keep up when it use to be the other way around

Oh man..i thought it was bad..i had no idea it was this bad.
While this looks pretty cool, I still think Disney’s biggest mistake with Galaxy’s Edge was basing it off of the Sequel movies. Imagine how much more exhilarating and immersive this could all be, if it was based around the most iconic Star Wars era: the reign of the Galactic Empire. I’d much rather see Darth Vader leading a legion of stormtroopers than Kylo Ren.

There are so many things they could have done to make the switch less obvious. Have her walk behind a pillar on her way to Kylo and swap quickly while she's out of sight, have Kylo force push her down to make the switch, have the First Order officer shoot at her so she needs to duck, honestly anything but this rubbish.

It's OK but not worth the money
I notice throughout the videos that people get more into it throughout the stay. The energy and storytelling must be at an awesome peak by this point of the immersion. Video is one thing, but being there must be incredible. Love the practical effects.. the sparksm the trooper guns actually "firing", the force pull... alot of work went into all this from imagineering and it shows.
Kylo's voice is too modulated, but other than that, pretty cool!
