Dudes...Felix and David my dogs....like the pinned post, I feel as if I was sitting inside the camera actually there, your expert style of shots and incredibly interesting videos coupled with an awesome combination of the love for aviation we share and the fact that you guys have diversity instead of simple monotonous and flying only one airline, makes you guys the best aviation channel out there. You single handedly have buffed my intense passion for flying and for anything aviation related. Now I'm headed to Vegas on Frontier Airlines in exactly seven days and if I know one thing...I know you guys will be there along spwith me as I watch your videos and get my hype up for an amazing 16 hour trip. Thank you for everything. You guys touch people in many ways that creates this positive community. David, you are the real MVP! Without you, no simply aviation! So you guys get five gold stars in my book. Cheers mates. ~ Robert
i like this regional airliner. Before called avro rj100, it called Bae (British Aerospace) 146. It's perfect for regional short-haul flight. It's unique design use 4 engines on a regional airliner rather than 2.
I’ve flown on the larger & smaller versions of the “BAe 146” between London & Jersey - was very impressed with the whole experience and felt sad when they were replaced by Flybe
VEHICON productions The BAe 146 (which I think you meant) is the original, but Avro RJ aircraft as seen in the video were also built to a modified design. The fuselage on both are identical.
I want to travel but I can't travel that much because of financial problems so by watching your trip reports I feel like I'm only traveling . And also get a lot to know about flights as I love flighting .
Flown on all 3 types! This airplane will always have a special place in my heart. An absolutely beautiful airplane. I also had the honor to work for a startup airline named Tristar. We flew out of the US with 5 BAE 146's in the mid 90's. Fun fact!! We were the only airline that flew to the Grand Canyon with 100 seats. I really enjoyed the sound of the flaps coming down too.
Beautifully shot video as ever SA! And want to comment that I really enjoyed the 2 part on consecutive week trip. And the way you started right where you left off. Truly wonderful. Thank you👍
Great video! I flew on the BAE-146 Swiss when I was 6 from ZHR-MUN. Wish Swiss would keep them. It's what made them unique to me. Still a great aircraft!
What a beautiful looking aircraft. I remember seeing my first one on the apron at Gatwick back in 1985. It was with DAN AIR. Its was called an HS 146 in those days. Great video.
The RJ100 was also known as the British Aerospace BAe 146. Two U.S. airlines - PSA and AirCal - used it on services to and from John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California.
You should try to go to the Seattle-Tacoma Intl airport in Seattle, WA. It's very cool! And, I recommend flying Southwest Airlines. Service with them has always been great with me!
I’m in LOOOOVE with this baby plane, he (yeah, he) is so cute with jis 4 smalls jet engines....and his face...I love it 😍😍😍sad to know that he won’t fly again...
Excellent Report! Rode an RJ 100 from Prague to Geneva a few years back and, yes, the food was awesome. Where do you mount your camera during the walk throughs, your belt? keep up the great work :-)
They still fly the Avros on Bolivia! And they are going to be flying there for a while. The airline that operates them is called Ecojet, and it’s rather new
Your Trip Reports are awsum..They are the best videos..Watching your videos is all together an beautiful experience. : ) .Nice Trip Report Keep up your good work..
I know this will be quite difficult and probably extremely expensive but you should try some time in the future to go on Qantas' new route from Perth to London on their new 787-9. Being Australian I look forward to you coming to Australia and my home town Brisbane. :D
Fun fact. The BAe 146/ RJ100 is a very short takeoff and landing plane which had half an eye on the potential military transport market. Hence the 4 engines which give it a lot more power than would normally be expected in the civilian market. But that's what killed it, uses too much fuel for it's size.
2021 UPDATE: This aircraft is no longer part of Swiss' fleet.
😭😭 so sad to hear :((
First comment :)
Love all your videos
💖💖💖💖
Such a shame. Also sad is the MD-11 not being part of their fleet anymote
Fun fact: The BAe 146 (or Avro RJ) was the last aircraft type built and flown out of the De Havilland factory in Hatfield, England in 1983
It was the British de Havilland company that founded the de Havilland Aircraft Company of Canada, which is still active today in Downsview, Ontario.

At around 2:30 the unmistakable sound of a 777 starting engines
did some research.
HB-IYY is actually stored right now under registration T7-IYY.
Update :
It now flies for Aerovias DAP in Chile under registration CC-ATI
Who is around now??

Great vids!
OMG you uploaded this on my birthday
Did you see the plane the the star alliance livery atr 72 (i think) at 5:05 ?
Sentosa GMD that probably was a dash 8 q400 or a fokker 50
the atr has the gear at the bottom. I Think the plane in the vid had it behind the engines
I would say dash 8 q400
It's an Austrian Q400! ;)
oh, im kinda new to reconizing airplanes.

Wow, such a nice aircraft. It has the feel and wing view of a 747 or A380, but the size and distance of a Dash 8
