Looks like a Good job. I'm studying up to rebind mine. Thanks for the info.
Oh man I like this, I would love adding uniqueness like this to one of my Bibles, I REALLY want to learn how to rebind one, that's the dream. It just seems really really difficult. I get confused on the inner liner and how the block attaches, how the leather is prepped for the block, etc, I mean I see it and understand how it's in there just not how you get to that point lol.....it just looks difficult. Anyway I love this. That's a great color cardstock, goes perfect. I like the ribbons, I don't even have the guts to try changing them out. Good job Beau!!
Oh, and also, if you do start learning rebinding (like me), don't stress over mistakes. Bookbinding is a trade and it takes a while to become proficient in it.
@@john3_14-17 lol, I def could have guessed this talent took quite a bit of trial and error. Thanks for the tip though.
Adam A, practice as many times as you need on worthless books, like many novels, etc. Like everything, preparation is important, and details are too.
The more you do, the better you'll do.
@@senatorjosephmccarthy2720 thanks guys, I appreciate it. Will do.
Beautiful work. I enjoyed your presentation. Thanks!
I was going to say that I'm gonna try using your techniques next time for measuring endsheets so I don't mess them up, but then you brought up those paper cutters and I remembered I have one of them! So thanks for reminding me of that!
pro tip: watch series on Kaldrostream. Been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Avery Kamden yup, I have been watching on KaldroStream for since december myself =)
Do you have any sources for finding end sheets, other than the local office supply store?
Like colorful, or patterns?
There's a company that has a really great collection called Mulberry Paper. Most sheets are only a dollar or two, but shipping is quite a bit considering it's paper. Theyre offering 5% off your order with code BEACH right now. Hobby Lobby has a good selection, but some of there stuff is laser printed and the quality is just okay.

Hey brother..is there anyway to stiffen up a edge leather lined bible? It's a Schuyler Quentel. I love the bible but wish it wasn't quite so floppy.
The only way I would recommend "customizing" your Quentel to be less floppy while also not damaging or affecting the integrity of the binding would be to add additional end sheets on top of the factory end sheets. If you use a slightly thicker cardstock and cut them to the exact size of the current end sheets and ply them by using about a 2" strip of contact cement at the bottom, stack one over the front and back end sheets, this will help flatten out the bible while being held. This method will not change the floppiness of the cover however.
Okay, thx brother!
What Facebook pages do you follow for buy/sell/trade bibles?
I help Admin "EVERYTHING BIBLES" and "BUY, SELL & TRADE EVERYTHING BIBLES", both of which have a very large amount of people and a bunch of items being bought and sold and traded daily.
Hey sir I've seen a couple of your videos about re binding and I'd like to talk to you about rebounding one of my bibles. What is your email sir?
I don't understand why you would ruin an excellent Bible by putting a piece of old cardboard as the final page... Extremely crude service and without any sense or use. Even more so using totally inappropriate tools and without any expertise... Damaged Bible...
