Gators gotta pick up a 4th guy in FA, a guy who can they can use solely for his bat. Keep the same guys pitching and fielding, just get a 4th guy in the lineup. Right now it’s too easy to exploit Brendans batting skills.

Time for some more takeaways from a fun series: Magic - I cannot figure this team out😂 - Chadwick is a star. Nothing more to it. But the magic are BEGGING for a second decent arm. I get it was windy in Game 3 but if they had a second starter then they could be a great team - it happens every year, but the Magic are going to make the AL playoffs. Calling it right here. Gators - my fave team 😭 despite losing 1-2 and falling to 3-6 there are plenty of positives to build off of. They were a few stranded runners away from sweeping. Should’ve could’ve would’ve. - Jorgy looks rejuvenated. Great series from him at the plate. - Szerlag is making better contact too - despite all that, the reason the Gators are 3-6 is the inconsistent bats. All that despite Cheetam and Jorgy being great pitchers. Too many guys stranded in the first couple games - even though it bit them in Game 1, I love seeing them, especially cheetam, talk more and get more emotional. Give me more fired up gators. - they could really benefit from finding a fourth guy All in all great series, great first half. I love the budding rivalry between these two teams. That’s what makes sports great and seeing the Gators and Magic chomp at each other is great for the league haha both teams still very much in the playoff hunt Also that was far and away the best mic’d up session😂 Bring on the all star break now 🔥
There’s one simple solution to the Gators problem - get a fourth bat. He doesn’t need to field, he doesn’t need to pitch. They just need a fourth guy in the lineup so it’s harder to exploit Brendans weaknesses. They should try to trade a pick for a good bat on a rebuilding team, or try to find a guy in FA who can fill their needs. Despite their record, Gators are in a great position right now. They just need to get top 3 in their division, and since the mallards are there it shouldn’t be too hard.
@@username2748 I 100% agree. Even though Szerlag is making better contact, teams still intentionally walk Cheetam to get to Szerlag. A fourth bat would make a MASSIVE difference for them. And yes, I think they’re still in a good position. Their run differential is 4th best in the league and more on par with a 4-5 or 5-4 team. Even though that 16-4 win inflated that, they have 3 1-run losses. That’s the difference between where they’re at now and being closer to 5-4. They should be able to hang close to the mallards. I assume they’ll play the Eagles and Mallards to end the season so they’re very much in it.
Gators really should find a 4th for rotation purposes. They’ve got 2 really solid pitchers, everyone is solid defensively, but the inconsistent bats are a huge reason they are losing. Both Jorgensen and Cheetam can occasionally put up heavy hitting games, and the timely dingers from szerlag are always appreciated. Adding someone who can hit to their batting rotations could be the difference moving forward. Especially because it makes it harder to walk people in order to go to weaker batters, which does seem to be a really smart move in this league.
MLW is great because it’s not overhyped like blitzball and it’s the original wiffle ball that all kids have played before and also the pitches aren’t too nasty to where you can’t hit at all
@@huntergrace he hit a grand slam in game 3 and has been consistently hitting the ball hard all year when he doesn’t strike out. He also took Jimmy Knorp deep twice this year
Tough losses for the gators but it's good to see Jorgy in form after a rough start to the year. With such a dynamic pitching duo, I wouldn't count them out in the second half
In the middle of the 2nd game, enjoying it! I don't know how Magics are 2-4 they're honestly my 2nd favorite team in this league. I think their batting is probably top 5, but I can tell from a great pitching team from a not so good one. Diamond backs sub pitcher is a lot better than magics starting pitcher so that's something they can for sure work on but all in all, loving it!

I would prefer that if you hit a grand slam (Like in game 3, which I’m not done with) or any type of home run that puts you over the mercy rule, the runs should count. I know you guys want close games for content and watch time, but for the sake of competition it should count.
